Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 201Oct 09, 2015 3:14 pm Do those requirements affect your lot though? Seems strange but not surprising... And a lot of money for a report! Hopefully council don't ask for it! When are you expecting your build to start? Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 202Oct 09, 2015 3:20 pm No..My lot is not effected by any acoustic requirement as per the original report.Joe also mentioned that it not required for our land.BTW I am on Lot 134 which is 17 middle ridge. Builder is about to lodge the application next week..Not sure whether they can hit the ground this year.. I feel like saved 2K today.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 203Oct 09, 2015 5:16 pm That's an awesome saving! It's def worth questioning the variations that they are raising!! That's awesome, we must be across the road from you! We're lot 127! Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 204Oct 09, 2015 8:48 pm The acoustics report that I got from Joe covers all the blocks. I think it would be similar to the bushfire report where if the report they had highlights your block as bushfire affected, then you arrange your own report on this also. I would think the same for acoustics (but could be totally wrong) if their report highlights you as affected then maybe those lots would arrange an independent report. Yes, certainly double and triple check everything from the builders Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 205Oct 14, 2015 1:01 pm Got the BAL report,Only the corner of the house does encroach on the area shown to be BAL-12.5.Waiting for the variation quote..Hope there won't be another rip off.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 206Oct 16, 2015 5:58 am Fingers crossed its only minimal upgrades needed to that area or nothing at all would be even better Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 207Oct 22, 2015 6:41 pm Hi guys, Anyone else waiting for CDC approval? Do you know who I can contact to follow it up? It's been 12 working days since submitted... We got our first variation with a nice CREDIT today for BASIX/BAL caught me by surprise the $7000 provisional sum was an over estimate... First time for everything! Lol Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 208Oct 23, 2015 10:24 am Hi First_Home_Adventure, Not yet..We are going to submit next week (Hopefully).. surprisingly,BAL 12.5 cost me only extra 850..Some of them were included on standard package and some were covered by extras which I added before the BAL report.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 209Oct 24, 2015 6:44 am Wow a CREDIT! That's a great surprise. Lets hope we all see some more of those lol If you know who the certifier used is you could call them but it's probably your builder you would contact to get an update. Great news also Dami on the BAL upgrades. It's nice to be surprised by the builders in a good way. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 210Oct 24, 2015 12:01 pm Apparently we are going to get our CDC approval on Tuesday! Fingers crossed we have to then go clear/mow the lot in acouple of weeks they said so they can get started! I assume we just take our lawn mower there? Lol Yes I nearly fell over in shock! I had to check it 3 times haha just to make sure I was reading it right! That's great Dami! Sounds like we're all having better weeks as its getting closer!! Hopefully things continue this way Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 211Oct 24, 2015 12:49 pm That's awesome..You are the first one to bring a lawn mower to Bradley Heights.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 212Oct 27, 2015 2:05 pm Great news! We got our CDC approval yesterday Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 213Oct 28, 2015 6:07 am Fantastic!! Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 218Nov 03, 2015 3:28 pm That's not good!!! We brought there & not in Jordan springs to be away from housing commission! Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 220Nov 03, 2015 4:53 pm NRAS is better than HC..They will get less 20% from Market rent..At least that will do some filtering..Hope we will not have issues like Ropes crossing & Jordan Spring..
