Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Timber Floor! 641Dec 14, 2015 1:01 pm Wow!! I love your floors Jelbell!! You must be stoked with them! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Timber Floor! 643Dec 16, 2015 4:17 pm Thanks everyone! We are very happy with how they have turned out PVBuild What finish did you get on yours? Is it the most recommended for dogs? I'm interested to know for ours, when we get to that point! We went with the satin finish (our flooring company used the Bona seal). They said anything too shiny shows up too much (dirt, scratches etc). They recommended this finish as it is their most popular and is best if you have pets. +Tbrown2012 Did you use BJs flooring jellbell? They look amazing!!!!! Thanks Tbrown, we went through Coastal Flooring WA. Their quote was more competitive and were found they were a lot more helpful too. They also do a lot of work for Dale Alcock as well as other builders, I initially thought DA only went through BJs flooring but they also use Coastal flooring too. Our carpets were installed on Monday, it is nice not having anymore dust in the house! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Timber Floor! 646Dec 23, 2015 12:26 pm Looks amazing jelbell! The colours all work so well. It must be so nice to see it all finally come together. (if you don't mind that is) I'm trying to convince my husband that real timber is worth it rather than laminate Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Timber Floor! 648Jan 02, 2016 11:19 am Thank you I hope everyone has had a lovely xmas and new year! I have sent you a PM Kait-e with the details of the flooring I don't have too much to report about the house, we tried to rest as much as possible over the break! Our daughters room is just about complete- she has been very lucky to get a beautiful bedroom suite from her uncle so we are just waiting on him to get back so we can surprise her. I will put some pictures up soon The xmas sales have been too hard to resist so we have been more busy shopping that anything. I am sorting out a new outdoor setting today too On Tuesday I am meeting with the SS and maintenance guy so hopefully (finally) most of our issues will be sorted. The following week our pool is getting put in- Monday is the dig and Tuesday the shell gets delivered and installed. This has been the thing holding us back from getting the outside done, so I am excited to start the next and final stage of getting the home ready to move into! We are being realistic and hoping to move in beginning of March- there is still lots to be done. Once everyone re-opens on the 4th we should get a better idea of when our move in date will be... Will keep everyone updated! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Plumber recommendations 649Jan 02, 2016 2:47 pm Can anyone recommend a plumber that they have recently used and been happy with?? I'm already struggling to hold myself back almost brought a painting the other day until my husband talked me out of it Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Pool this week! 652Jan 11, 2016 10:28 pm How exciting for the pool!!! Your decorating looks very tasteful and lovely! Congrats Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Pool this week! 653Jan 11, 2016 10:31 pm Can't wait to see the pool!!! Ours gets installed on the 29th.. we have the digging happening the same day. Did you have a bobcat do the digging? Are you needing a plumber to install another outside tap near the pool? Because that's also what we need too. Caraf88, how come you need another tap? Last pool we had installed we just needed an outdoor power point for the pump etc. Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Pool this week! 655Jan 12, 2016 1:26 am Decka Caraf88, how come you need another tap? Last pool we had installed we just needed an outdoor power point for the pump etc. Our tap is on the other side of the house where the grass is. A long hose would fit but that would mean the pool gate would be open and obviously a tripping hazard too, so easier just to get another installed opposite the pool so it's within the pool area. Tell me about it Kait-e, I have found it difficult to not go too crazy with buying everything before hand! I am glad I have waited though to decorate now. Cara we had a mini bobcat take the sand out as we have very narrow side access. I agree that it will be worth while getting another tap put in, will be much easier to top up the water in summer. We have a pool... was fun watching them put it in! Now just a wait for about 2 weeks for the guy that is doing our water feature and planter box to get back from his hoilday so he can do what he needs to do so we can go ahead and get the equipment installed etc. Then we can finally go ahead and complete our fontyard & backyard and move in! Like a grey? That's different, can't wait to see what it's like once filled with water! What kind of water feature are you going? We have picked a wet deck, still not 100% sure on the tiles though.
