Congrats on Keys Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Keys 585Nov 27, 2015 1:35 am Those paint colours look fantastic congrats on keys!! Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Keys 588Nov 28, 2015 11:45 am Loveeee the paint color! Same thing happened with us! They went to paint and then realized that our walls were shocking and spend half a day patching walls. Lucky they didn't charge us! Also finding areas like this all over the place which they missed and I am not happy with Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ so annoying they can't do one job right! Also hopefully you didn't have a s h i t slab layer because ours slab was soooo bad we had to have it screed before our wood floor went down First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Keys 589Dec 01, 2015 2:11 pm Thank you so much everyone for all the lovely comments as usual! Trixee and Ourhoneywood the painters have done a great job with fixing up the poor plastering. The painters finished on Saturday and it feels nice to have some paint on the walls! There are just a few areas which couldn't be helped and something we need to bring up with the builder again. We defiantly expected better from the builder. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt, never once complained or said a bad word about them but our patience is running out unfortunately. They have had a very long time now to fix everything. This week we don't have anything happening at our house, Dales are meant to be coming in and fixing everything for us so the timber flooring company can start laying the floors Monday next week. Our timber is getting delivered Friday afternoon ( ) I am really looking forward to seeing it Ourhoneywood, we had the company come out and do a site check our slab is fine to start laying on. I must admit your experience worried me a bit so very glad they won't need to screed it before it goes down Kait-e I keep checking my lights in the kitchen for you I think 2-3 15w would be perfect for the space. We will probably need to change ours over, but don't really feel the need to add an extra downlight. Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 590Dec 04, 2015 5:28 pm We had our Soakwells installed this week on Wednesday so it feels good to tick that off the list! And our timber was delivered today! I am so excited to see it start getting laid on Monday. I am meeting the company on site first thing Monday morning for a run down of what will be happening over the week, but it will be roughly 3 days of laying and 2 days of sanding and sealing. This time next week we will have floors The painters from Dale Alcock were also at our home today doing their touch ups.. it has been good to see lots happening this week. Finished painting pics. Our SS commented on how good of a job our painters did! What timber did you choose and who did you go through? Can't wait to see the finished product Thanks ak11! We are going through Coastal Flooring WA (they are in Rockingham) and we are going with the "Raw" Big River Spotted Gum (not the pre-finished, but they do also do this). They have been the most incredible company to deal with, I highly recommend them. They do a lot of display homes for a variety of builders also. Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 593Dec 04, 2015 5:58 pm Eeeeeeep can't wait to see that beautiful timber all sanded back and stained. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 596Dec 04, 2015 8:00 pm Thanks OHB and archetto!! Can't wait to see them Natalie- the main wall colour is Solver Talc, we had the dulux wash and wear tinted with the colour. If you look at the archipeligoI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JSrettcrkE and the original Stoneleigh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfNvkpz8Q30 on you tube (videos by Dale Alcock) then you will see a video of the colour they have used in both of these display homes. It is a warm neutral and is quite cream (so I know it's not everyone's cup of tea!) but I love how warm it feels. It seemed to be the only colour that complemented our timber floors the best. I found the grey warm neutrals didn't bring out the warmth in the timber as much. We did a few feature walls too, let me know if you would like to know the colours! Hope this helps, chosing the paint was so hard so I just went with what I knew would work best in the end and copied the builder Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 597Dec 04, 2015 11:55 pm The painting looks lovely Jelbel! And the floorboards look gorgeous, can't wait to see them in. What finish are you going with? Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 599Dec 05, 2015 1:05 am Painting looks amazing! looking forward to seeing your flooring complete The picture of your kitchen painted looks perfectly fine with that amount of lighting so I think I will stop stressing that we should of put a third light in like you said we can always change them for a stronger downlight in the future Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: Floor timber delivered! 600Dec 05, 2015 8:51 am Congrats on getting your keys Jelbell, what a nice feeling it is! Sorry to hear about the plasterwork. I am glad your painters did a good job fixing it for you. I love your colours . It all looks amazing.
