That is really cheap. I remember homegroupwa wanted to charge 6000. I'm getting a quote from the guys that did the ceilings if they are to expensive do you mind passing your contacts to me? Re: HGWA BUILD "THE HOUSTON" 348Nov 23, 2015 10:53 pm Yep that's fine bryzza just let me know I also saved the guys number that did my ceilings. HGWA wanted to charge me $8200 I knew I would rather paint it myself then pay that. I will spend up to $4000 anything over that I will do the bedrooms myself Re: HGWA BUILD 349Nov 25, 2015 9:46 pm Natalie92 Yep that's fine bryzza just let me know I also saved the guys number that did my ceilings. I will spend up to $4000 anything over that I will do the bedrooms myself Hi Nat, do you mind if i grab those contacts? The guys that did my ceiling wanted to charge $5500. I worked it out that being generous it takes the painters 40hrs that's 10 hours a day, they pay themselves $125 an hr. These guys are painters not lawyers , from previous experiences at painting my own home and buying paint at trade prices cost of paint is around $600. Just another tradie trying to rip consumers off. Floor tile looks amazing . Tiling will take about a week, the tiler will tack on splash back tiles ☺ SS even added integrated drain tile to ensuite bathroom as it wasn't on the plans to match the rest of the bathroom . The cabinet maker did stuff up the left hand side of the kitchen that's why it's not finished yet but will be completed today . The thickness of the bench top is spot on, was really worried it would be 20 mm as I couldn't tell from the plans . SS saying we will be in February still lots of small things need doing Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
