Anything that wasn't standard was an issue as we went through the process. Changes not communicated, not correct on plan despite many attempts to get them to correct it. Also as for price. The base price of our house was $185000, by the time we added a few upgrades (not many) and all the 'hidden' costs our contract was over $300 000+. If you have a strict budget I would be sussing out those costs right up front. We enquired about them but I think the person we spoke to had very little idea. We didn't end up going with them and are using a local builder, the process has been much easier!
