Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 12, 2014 2:54 pm I'm back and building again... This time using the midland brick 2 course manor range. It's a rural ranch type home with 3 bush posts for the front verandah so wanted something earthy rather than just plain cream?? Anyone recommend or have any pics of Tammin or York?? Otherwise there's a few cream bricks in this range or a grey! Feedback welcome please. Thank you

Tammin was a pale grey/clay colour and York was pretty much greyish and blotchy!! We chose another two course brick from another manufacturer that is almost always consistent with samples. So it's best to get to the yard and inspect exactly what is being produced before you choose...There will always be some variation but these two were way different than the sample brick. Trouble is we can only go with a midland brick in the manor range! Thanks again Re: Midland brick - Tammin, York or other? 5Dec 13, 2014 11:59 pm I think by grooves that you mean the wire cuts? I like them, I think it adds character, so that's no problem for me. So I'm a bit prejudiced about answering your question...to me they had the right amount. It was just the colour: like grey brick dusted with blotches of white powder- that I didn't like. I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home. We also swapped some rooms around and tackled a major… 2 10050 2 8366 I should have followed up on this thread. So, the pier foundation wasn't large enough on the side it was leaning towards, and the NBN cable went through the pier, just… 8 12130 |
