Thanks Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 185Feb 26, 2018 8:34 pm Hi, we are looking to build a Rawson Chifley in Mahoney Drive! Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 186Feb 26, 2018 9:07 pm Hi Stargazers, we looked at the Rawson Chifley, beautiful home. We ended up going with Wisdom Majestic 40. We loved how we could completely customise it from our flooring to our tiles and fixtures. We were originally going with a custom build but agot everything from Wisdom we wanted to use in that build so ended up with Wisdom We are on Fleming Drive. Hoping to see a site fence in 12 weeks Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 187Feb 26, 2018 9:29 pm Thanks Mish, we also looked at a few of the Wisdom Home displays and they all looked amazing. We particularly liked the Manhattan display at Oran Park. We ended up deciding on the Chifley 37MKII but with some modifications and will hopefully be getting our plans to council soon. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 189Feb 27, 2018 5:56 am Mish018 We have 532 sqm block and 340 sq home so that’s probably why I guess. Just so frustrating how slow Council is. yep that'll be the reason Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 190Feb 27, 2018 5:59 am Stargazers Thanks Mish, we also looked at a few of the Wisdom Home displays and they all looked amazing. We liked that Rawson design too. It's the one with the butlers pantry behind the kitchen? We just couldn't get the upstairs layout to work for us. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 191Feb 27, 2018 6:34 am Yes it is. We felt the u shaped kitchen wasn’t exactly how we wanted it so we created an island bench. We also increased the size of the kitchen and butler’s pantry as well. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 192Feb 27, 2018 7:00 am Mish018 Nice. Pretty sure I saw a new living home going up near us. You might mean the NLH being built on University Drive. NLH told me there are a total of 3 homes including my home they will be building in my area of stage 4. NLH are Masterton's "value for money" brand in single storey homes. We went for their Kirra design because of it's simple but open and spacious design. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 194Feb 27, 2018 7:27 am Most double storey homes base costs are normally high 300s. Add site costs and you wil reach 450 very easily with no upgrades. The base cost of our home was 374K. With upgrades we are at around 620K and we are doing our own carpets upstairs and have purchased our own appliances. In saying that our home is heavily upgraded. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 197Mar 15, 2018 1:46 pm Anyone building on Poulton Tr Stage 4. Struggling to get a builder due to 2 to 3m slope. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 199Mar 16, 2018 8:55 am Maybe it has something to do with wanting to build a GF behind our single storey main house. ANSA and Mojo both said no. Montgomery won't stand by their estimate even at 10%+/- so we are weary of putting $1500 on the line. We've already had to forfeit one tender fee of $1000 as the fixed price came in at 70k more! Fowler said they only do slope of 1.5 to 2m. Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 200Mar 16, 2018 9:09 am Have you tried someone like Clarendon? They apparently do good builds. We were going to do a custom build with Fairmont homes but we sacked them as they were too slow. Having said that if you are a very patient person maybe give them a ring. They might be able to design something specifically for your block. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
