How abu you? That's exciting. What the house size? We are building a two storey home with attached granny flat. Total size is 340 sqm. We locked in total construction price of $500k excluding landscaping and fencing. We thought it is a good deal but what do you think guys? How much (if you don't mind) is your construction cost? Hi Tim, We are also looking to build a two storey with attached granny flat. Who's youre builder? Our total build size will only be 315sqm (including granny) We got an initial quote but that was sitting around the 550k mark. Send me a private message and we can talk from there. Do you need to pay contribution fee? Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 277May 28, 2019 8:46 am MacRock I’m looking for suggestions for a landscaper. I’m getting wildly different estimate as people don’t know what to do with the slope. Any tried and tested landscaper? Slope before or after the build? Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 279Oct 11, 2019 4:38 pm rajmatizer Hi Guys, I was searching around for a forum for McArthur Heights and came across this forum. I was just shopping around to build my investment property on University Drive Lot 413X series appox 570 sqm. I did note that the land has a bit of slope maybe 2.5m-3m downwards slope. Anyone building around this area now and can you suggest any builders? I am based in Brissy and very much interested to know if there are significant site costs around the slopy block. I am planning to build a single /double storey and a detached granny flat if possible or I may even build a duet. It all depends on the costs so any tips from the current owners should be gold for me. PS: Sorry I may have asked same questions again and apologies if this annoyed anyone cheers RMZ Go for 2 detached dual occupancy houses. Your lot is big enough to be sub divided. Condition - 18 min frontage. Cheerio OB! Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 280Jan 21, 2020 4:08 pm Hi all, We got a block in MH and we are close to sign the contract. Our block has a ~1m slope. I told the builder that we would prefer to do a split level home as it was an advice from a friend who is a civil engineer and has built some houses himself. The problem is that the builder seems to pushing us to do a cut and fill instead. They say it would be better as the house would not have a step and the retaining walls required would be maximum 600mm. What intrigues me is that the builder(Smnds Homes) is really pushing us to do a cut and fill and not even considering a split level house. Anyone with similar experience? We have to sign the contract on beginning of February so no much time left to make changes. Cheers, Building Standards; Getting It Right!
