Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 05, 2014 10:28 pm Hi forum reader, Just trying to find out if any one has laid the HGWA Della Vita tiles in their wet areas - Bathrooms & Ensuite etc. I have read may forums where people are having the 450 x 450 as their main flooring but cannot see if any have used them through out. No too sure how long HGWA been doing this, as I said to Rep I haven't see any of these tiles in their own display homes? But having said this, I'm trying to convince wife to see if she can use the DV tiles in the wet areas as we can go 300 x 300 floor and 300 x 450 walls - oppose to smaller sizes (if not DV tiles) thru Crosby or European being the two tiling shops. Basically if oversize I was told but tile shop we could be charged $10-$16 per sqm. I estimated we have 100 to 130 sqm of floor and wall tiling. Also if Rectified Ceramic or Porcelain add $40 per sqm, and Mitred edges add another $16 per metre? Non of these have need verified by Rep, he keeps saying that will be sorted at Prestart. Appreciate feedback to costing and if you have used DV tiles in wet ares please send link to your blog. Thanks Re: HGWA Della Vita tiles for Bathrooms 2Dec 06, 2014 11:14 pm I'd like to know too Dave. It's so hard to imagine what the tiles look like in a big expanse. We too are building with Hgwa. I've just this morning put some photos up on my build thread of the Della Vita tiles in our living room. Link is in my signature below. We are really happy with them in the living rooms, we chose the second lightest colour (Mocha I think). They have come up looking lighter once laid than the sample in the pre start room. We went with a 200x20 tile from European Ceramics for our floors in the wet areas though.
