Soon the real fun begins, seeing those selections come together! Will be seeing how your window treatments turn out, my current house has none on its sliding doors (first thing I removed when I moved in was the verticals blergh!) but I'm not overlooked! What about Roman Blinds? Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 162Jul 04, 2015 12:06 am Oh wow there white set looks great, bring on lock up!!! My fingers are crossed for this week - ceilings, cornices, doors and windows can all happen in one week can't they??? Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 164Jul 06, 2015 6:35 am JMCL it looks amazing and yes it looks huge Can't help with window treatments, I'm still considering verticals for the sliding doors or panel glides - even though I don't like verticals much I do think they're probably most practical for sliding doors Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 165Jul 14, 2015 8:31 pm MalSannie JMCL it looks amazing and yes it looks huge Can't help with window treatments, I'm still considering verticals for the sliding doors or panel glides - even though I don't like verticals much I do think they're probably most practical for sliding doors Thanks Malsannie, I think it looks amazing too Do you have panel glides at that moment or are they popular where you live? I don't remember even seeing them before this build? I still have a lot to think about with regards to curtains And I need to learn how to paint I got a quote for painting so I think I might DIY instead? Hope you're keeping well Malsannie Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 166Jul 14, 2015 8:41 pm Well nothing much happened at the house last week and yesterday but today lots happened Today the windows got installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's not the best photo but you can just make out the new ceilings that got installed today too Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ These are the cornices which I guess they will do sometime this week? Oh well, not too long now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hopefully the cornices will be done very soon and the doors put on and then we should be at lock up! Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 167Jul 15, 2015 2:55 am It looks GORGEOUS! Wow No sliding doors aren't very big over here at all - mostly french style double doors. But I'd imagine that roller blinds or venetian you'd have an all or nothing thing - ie, if you want to go outside it needs to go all the way up? Whereas with verticals you only have to open as much as you like. I've never seen the gliding panels in real life, but they're just larger versions of verticals and they look 'neater' to me on photos. So am considering them at this stage still! Could also just use curtains I guess. So confusing! Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 169Jul 16, 2015 11:19 am Late to the party but just noticed another SW build. Congrats, it's all looking lovely and big, and such good progress!! Love the glimpses of the trees in background Oh forgot to say I love your selections, esp the texture of your tiles! and looking forward to your Scandi decor!! I rang a curtain maker and they said the doorway needs a recess of at least at 8cm's to have a roller blind. I don't think our recess is that big? I'll have to wait and check when I move down there? Living 2000kms from your build is hard work kellie_87 Looks fantastic JMCL Thanks Kell_87 Treeseachanger Late to the party but just noticed another SW build. Nice to discover another SW person on here. I can't wait to move down to some greenery and live close to the bush. I just checked out your plan, I love it! That is the type of plan I originally looked at with the building company APG but I couldn't get it too work with a homeschool room in the middle of the house? I still absolutely love those plans with the living at the back though (my block is ideal for that), maybe for our next build in 20 years lol Re: Building the Lennox with Celebration Homes in the South 171Jul 16, 2015 11:39 pm Well the builder sent me some photos today - the first set ever! House is looking good JMCL, you must be very excited. Thanks Lozel, it's so amazing watching everything come together Treeseachanger Oh so good to get photos, you must be dying to check it all out in person. Are you going to try to get down here for fit out? Oh I am dying to check it out in person but I've decided to wait It was going to cost over $2000 to visit for lock up because I couldn't get the plane flights to line up (taking into account driving down and back from Perth), car hire and hotel etc. I am dying too visit but I'm going to have to wait patiently It's going to be soooo strange going to visit for the first time as my block was completely bare and now suddenly it will have a house jlo1990 Congrats! You've hit the halfway mark, itll be quick now! Yayyyyy, I'm soooo exciting to finally start the interior now! I hope I can still get updates. I've been silently following your build and loving seeing the progress FantasticFour OMG they're ripping through your build! Only seems like yesterday they started and now lock up!!!! How many weeks was that? It looks fab JMCL!!!! I know, I can barely believe how fast it's gone! It feels like only yesterday that I was getting excited seeing photos of a bobcat starting site works.
