Browse Forums Building A New House Oracle Platnium homes 5Jan 11, 2015 10:25 pm If we would have found them before, I would have done the same. We have had no luck with builders, they all inflates & we set a budget not as tight as yours but I think you are very sensible and you are getting a lot for your money. We went with beechwood base price of 165k & before we know it its 345k with everything we wanted, bearing in mind thats not turn key so no fence,no letter box,no turf etc., on top of it, we're not 100% happy with the plan as they cut a bit here & there to suit the block,so we cut our loss and spoke to allworth; base price of 164k, 3 months later with all the things added it becomes 295k, again not full turn key, no driveway, etc etc. Allworth is very rigid and their upgrades are high 40mm stone 9k just an example. They stuff us up, unable to answer the base price being higher than when we paid the deposit, our upgrades seems higher than others, rude admin & too rigid made us pull out. We are very limited with design due to our block shape but we persevere & finally found a local builder that listens to our needs and very efficient too. Our plans are now in council. We went & had a sticky beak in Wallis Creek display to get some ideas for our internals & stumbled Oracle, their inclusions are really good compared to the generic builders above i.e stone bench & nicer toilets & taps & handles & bigger kitchen. What design are u building? Re: Oracle Platnium homes 6Jan 12, 2015 8:13 am We are planning on building with them at Cameron Park - the inclusions are the best in the business. They even include downlights as standard. It's taking a bit of convincing for them to tackle our block which has a bit of a slope - but nothing major. They are keen to make a name for themselves here, so getting their logo on our block will hopefully soon be a reality. It is slightly concerning that they don't have more houses going up though. Re: Oracle Platnium homes 7Jan 12, 2015 2:52 pm Dcox I am sorry to hear about your experience, it's true when you hear building a home can be so stressful! I am glad you found a local builder that is satisfying. Oracle are apparently building quite a few homes in Watagan park - waiting for land registration. I was worried about the timefame of our home buing built as they will have alot going on at the time of our builf but assured us it wont be an issue. I am very happy with their service & I hope the rest of the process is all smooth sailing. We are building an advantage plus home taking advantage of the $15,000 rebate. They are very big in QLD but still no reviews about them anywhere - which may be a good thing! Yarborough what home are you planning on building with Oracle? I love Cameron Park, it's such a nice area. Re: Oracle Platnium homes 8Jan 15, 2015 11:59 am They're building our own design. Well, another companies design with our alternations. www.sensehomes.com.au Re: Oracle Platnium homes 9Jan 16, 2015 1:18 am I considered building with these guys. But after reading about them on their website I changed my mind. 'The company initially began in 2000 as Alchemy Property Group Pty. Ltd. and operated for 5 years building around 350 homes per year. ' I googled Alchemy Property Group and came across this - https://insolvencynotices.asic.gov.au/b ... 1e3130afac. In Liquidation on 29 June 2012. While I was at one of their display homes I asked the guy about this but he said he had never heard of this happening. He also kept pushing one particular plan even though I told him I was interested in another. Re: Oracle Platnium homes 12Jan 16, 2015 12:41 pm I actually quite liked their plans and inclusions but after I googled the company info I wanted to make sure all would be well to build with them and that's why I asked the sales guy about the information I read about liquidation a few years ago. But he said he had never heard of this happening. The information is readily available online. A simple explanation would have been appreciated. Re: Oracle Platnium homes 13Jan 16, 2015 8:50 pm Oracle at Wallis Creek, Gillieston Heights told me that with the Advantage Plus homes you can't alter the house plans, its a take it as it is deal. Also as I am waiting on land to register at Heddon Greta in Oct/Nov they told me that they could not honour the extra 15k grant they offer as a promotion Has any come across these? Fixed price tender should lock in everything right? Re: Oracle Platnium homes 14Jan 17, 2015 7:50 am No we have not yet paid deposit. Spoke with hubby & we decided after yoir info we are still going with them. We have spent so much time/effort with them and have been so happy with their service & house plan. Bugbos, we are building an advantage plus home. Thats correct you can't alter the plan eg take a wall out or swap rooms BUT you can still make small alterations, I extended alfresco & made amendments to the shower size which mwans they have to move the window across. We got in on the deal as we spoke to them around November last year & our land is registered in May or there abouts. I do believe there was a cut off in December for the advantage plus. Maybe if you told them you will pay your $1750 upfront deposit today with a signed tender maybe they can do something for you? Also mention they are still promoting the offer on their website!! Re: Oracle Platnium homes 15Jan 17, 2015 7:05 pm I don't think they would be allowed to start another business name that easy and just forget about the liquidation. If they build few houses and they are a member of HIA surely the news will be all over Australia about Oracle being under liquidation. Any other company can go under which we hope not our builders please. Look at Beechwood, wincrest, procorp, & more! Beechwood & wincrest are back! I would like to think that since they just started here in NSW, they will start & gain their name in the building game. Thats my only opinion. Pink86, you should clarify this issue too & speak to the boss if needs be just to make things clear. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
