Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5381Sep 14, 2016 6:24 pm A question.....has any one managed to get their tiles laid before the kitchen cabinets were installed, and if so when did you realise this was not the norm, and ask for it to be done. DH has just realised (even though I knew), that the tiling gets laid after the cabinets are installed and is insisting that they install them after. At this very late stage, of plastering happening, I have told him I doubt very much that they would do this. Has anyone else had any experiences with this. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5382Sep 14, 2016 7:02 pm Not sure bec but I'd be very interested to hear too. I dare say there may be an extra cost involved which is much of the reason why they tile after I have been told. I might ask my SS also as my husband it annoyed that the bench height is from slab level and not ffl ! C U S T O M. C O R A L. And it may be a really stupid question lol... But is 'insulation' in the walls included in standard pricing? I don't need to ask them to put it in do I? Not internal walls. We thought it was and wish we had asked this question. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5396Sep 15, 2016 9:23 pm Becs Coral caitnkase Hi guys, can anyone tell me... And it may be a really stupid question lol... But is 'insulation' in the walls included in standard pricing? I don't need to ask them to put it in do I? Not internal walls. We thought it was and wish we had asked this question. I don't know much about insulation... Should the internal walls be done to? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5397Sep 15, 2016 9:28 pm We made an inquiry about adding additional insulation in around the media room and our sc told us not to bother as it doesn't really many any difference. We shouldn't have listened. We thought upgrading meant going up a grade, not just getting some from nothing. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5398Sep 15, 2016 9:29 pm We are going to buy our own for the internal all the external is in your base price we are going to ask the plasters to install it for internals hopefully fingers crossed Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5399Sep 16, 2016 9:49 am I've been trying to catch up on threads for weeks! Haha Quick question We have a spare block next door.. our boundary line isn't pegged out. Does that get included with any stage of our build with Coral or do they only sort out the build. Thinking I will need to look up a surveyor so that we can get the fence done properly. http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5400Sep 16, 2016 11:28 am Hi everyone, does anyone know what brand of underlay coral use under there carpets? We upgraded to 'gold' and doesn't feel very soft. We have some off cuts but it doesn't look like normal foam underlay to me. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14105 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4346 |
