Will they need to get these all need to be cleared in order to pour a slab onto them? Also has anyone had experience with what happens with the slab when you have muddy soil? Our site has become quite a mess with all this rain! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10104Nov 21, 2017 5:41 pm Hi everyone, Hoping you can help me with some questions on alfresco doors. We are building the grange 24 and are trying to decide whether we go boutique cornerless stacker doors, boutique stacker (not cornerless) or just the standard cornerless. We have kids that will be going in and out so fly screens are a must. We were told by our SC that we cannot have fly screens with the boutique cornerless but A&L have told me we can. If anyone has photos they can share of their doors with fly screens that would be awesome! Thanks Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10105Nov 22, 2017 3:34 am Relle Hi everyone, Hoping you can help me with some questions on alfresco doors. I think you can even have fancy retractable flyscreens with the boutique doors if you want! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10107Nov 22, 2017 8:01 am I knew not to trust Coral but thought I could rely on A&L, their customer service was just as poor! They told me that you can only have retractable screens on bifold doors, not any other. Which I already knew was not true. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10108Nov 22, 2017 7:32 pm Can someone help me out with bathroom niches please our sales consultant has told us that to put one in we would loose space from either the shower or the room sharing the same wall are they making walls thinner with new builds? I would have thought they would just cut it out and have some extra support for it? Not make that wall thicker Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10109Nov 22, 2017 8:25 pm CC7 Can someone help me out with bathroom niches please our sales consultant has told us that to put one in we would loose space from either the shower or the room sharing the same wall are they making walls thinner with new builds? Not make that wall thicker When they put niches in the wall, they increase the wall thickness to 90mm instead of 70mm if the niche is on an internal wall. So effectively you will lose space from either the adjoining room or the shower depth, but it is only 20mm. It will help our decision We have shower space in the en-suite to do this, but not sure if we want to loose space in the house for it in main bathroom (would be only used for guests) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10111Nov 23, 2017 9:25 am CC7 mrbiggens When they put niches in the wall, they increase the wall thickness to 90mm instead of 70mm if the niche is on an internal wall. Good to know! I will have to look at your thread again - love the Avocas Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10115Nov 23, 2017 6:34 pm As anyone had tile issues?? We have done our tile selection and are 7 weeks into our build. They will be delivering our tiles next week and have just received an email from National Tiles today informing us that the tiles we have selected outside for our alfresco 300x600 is not available and with tiles being delivered next week we will have to choose a different size. We think this is very unprofessional because they have decided to inform us a few days out from delivery and via email and not a phone call. Surely they knew these tiles were unavailable weeks or even months ago. What should we do, pick a different size? put off the laying of these tiles until they are available? Ask National tiles to find these tiles elsewhere? or? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10116Nov 23, 2017 6:46 pm OurDayDream28 As anyone had tile issues?? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10117Nov 24, 2017 9:56 am I got told by our sales consultant that national does this a lot as they have an agreement with Metricon so coral gets bumped which is why we went with Beaumont Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10118Nov 25, 2017 12:05 pm Just wanted to share some more pics of our house progress.
