If they have you an end date of April 2018, this means they have already taken the holidays into account in determining your end date. The only time they can claim Christmas shut down is if at the time of entering the contract and providing your contract build time, they couldn’t reasonably have foreseen your build extending over the shut down period. They have tried this on with a bunch of us. But you’ll be missing out on $50 a day damages if you accept the extension. It’s in breach of your contract OMG thanks Mrs JM, I had no idea so I'll follow that up... in our meeting with new QLD ss this morning he said he's planning to finish on or around 13th of April, but that is still after the original 4th of April so I'll go over my contract and raise it ... but do I raise it with ss or with customer service person or the state manager? or someone else? I would send a reply email to whoever it originally came from and also copy in your cso. It would also be wise for the continuing relationship with your supervisor to let him know too. Although given this is a claim for holiday shut down (rather than something he has initiated) he will probably not care much. Our trades have been stomping clay through the house which was fine while it was cement but I certainly don't want clay/mud all over the floorboards Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10569Mar 09, 2018 12:24 pm Ryan2007 Surfmist! Thanks you we are happy how they have turned out! Thanks, I am second guessing myself. I was wanting white windows, but we have surfmist for the fascia, eaves and garage door, so went with surfmist for the windows also (to make the overall outside look consistent). Do they throw a grey colour? I am heading down the off white to caramel earthy tones and just questioning my choice of window colour. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10570Mar 09, 2018 4:49 pm I think they are more white! If you get a sample of surfmist to me the sample looks different to them in the real they are pretty close to white maybe try to get a sample of each close. I'm guessing white will just have that bit extra crisp to it. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10572Mar 09, 2018 5:13 pm Ryan2007 Woohoo PCI is 14th March it's been a long time coming 52 weeks this Friday! I literally said "FINALLY" out loud for you..... Congratulations I can't imagine the relief you must be feeling. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10573Mar 09, 2018 10:29 pm Hmmm how do you think they might fill this gap?! Pretty sure that you shouldn’t be seeing your slab between flooring and sliding door?!? Unfortunately I hate the floors -just looks way to busy - oh well lucky there’s some beautiful rugs out there to cover them Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10574Mar 10, 2018 2:01 pm What kind of floors did you get? You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 8539 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
