Our additional costs were:- Monolith Raft style concrete slab as required by the engineer's design for a H1/P site classification... $9,392 Piering system as required etc... $5,689 Due to site conditions associated with your class site, the following items are requored and cannot be deleted from the contract:- 4water grates to disperse surface water drainage,,,$1,408 water grates under taps ...$231 As you can see, these add up! Oh, I forgot, Additional site management requirements to suit Workplace H7S and Safety, eg equipment hire, labour split deliveries, on site waste management, Environmental protection Authority requirements, temporary fencing....$5397 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4824Jul 21, 2016 7:48 am We decided to go through coral for a retaining wall so it wouldn't hold up the build its been 3 weeks and nothing's been done I should have done it myself ? It's due to start today it's so cloudy it's almost dark I hope they show up I wish I didn't have to work today or I'd be there helping dig the fitting holes myself ? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4825Jul 21, 2016 7:53 am We weren't even given the option of Coral being able to do the wall. Here is hoping the weather doesn't hold it up. We are getting ours put in on the weekend, after the ss decided we need one after all. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4826Jul 21, 2016 9:27 am It's raining so it's holding it up again if the slab went first we wouldn't have been delayed oh well it's been nothing but delays so far I don't know why I expected them to stop now haha Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4828Jul 21, 2016 10:05 am Denym It's raining so it's holding it up again if the slab went first we wouldn't have been delayed oh well it's been nothing but delays so far I don't know why I expected them to stop now haha When is the rain forcast to stop? Up here in S.E. Qld the rain has gone, although we still have sticky mud. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4829Jul 21, 2016 10:12 am It was ment to stop today so fingers crossed for tomorrow hopefully the work can go ahead still cause our block will be slush ? The concrete will take forever to dry in it Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4830Jul 21, 2016 10:36 am Still, it's better if your concrete dries slowly. (within reason!) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4831Jul 21, 2016 10:42 am Went past and all the footings are dug woo!!! I should have got a bit of the dirt to frame so we always remember the day they first broke the ground ?? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4832Jul 21, 2016 10:54 am How heavy or light is the rain? A little rain (like very light) is actually good for the slab to cure properly Avoca 25 in Gainsborough Greens Gold Coast viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81406 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4833Jul 23, 2016 4:15 pm Can someone please confirm that the shower screen is fully framed? I paid for a semi frameless, and I believe the door itself should not have the steel frame running top to bottom? I so hope it's right! You had to wait so long for it and would changing it cause another delay? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4835Jul 23, 2016 4:40 pm Hmmm not sure if there will be a delay but if it is indeed not semi frameless i do want it changed because i like the seamless look. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14099 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1801 |
