Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5413Sep 18, 2016 8:17 pm marcoola Can anyone confirm for me what is supplied for TV/Data as standard from Coral...(on the plans it has a Fibre Optic box in the garage...is this a Hills Home Hub type box?) Hi Marcoola, The data contractors on my build supplied me with 1 phone port (CAT5e) and 1 data port (CAT6) from the garage (NBN) to a location in the house I specified. They have not started fitting the gyprock walls so I do not know what cabinet will be installed. NBN Package will just be a basic panel with provisions for the NBN lead in cable. I did not install a TV antenna as they are obsolete to me, but when I met with the electrical contractor, I mentioned Foxtel to them and they installed a couple of ports suitable for Foxtel. The ports go from wall to roof cavity. It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies. Proverbs 24:3-4 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5414Sep 18, 2016 8:29 pm budoy In addition to marcoola's post, if you have several data points (nbn), do you just run a switch from the very main port? Hello Budoy, The NBN NTD will have 4 ports for data and 2 ports for voice. I believe the voice ports are not used. If you are with Telstra your T-Gateway connects to one of the 4 data ports on the NBN NTD. Your T-Gateway has 4 gigabit ports to connect to the internet. If you need more ports you will need to connect a switch to one of these ports. Your phone handset connects to the phone port on the T-Gateway. It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies. Obviously not the case. Has anyone noticed this? I've never even seen the square profile. At the meeting we assumed they would have a round profile because that was the only option on the form. Strange. Masterton do stainless handrails. I went to Homeworld 2 and saw them. Nice!
