The one in oure suite literally moves a lot if you rest up against it. And seems very fragile. I’m worried Becoz this wall is going to be tiled to the ceiling. Hence the grout and tiles may eventually crack. Does anyone else have this issue when in building faze? Thanks Where about a do you mean movement? Post handover and mine is a pain in the backside. Even the hint of a breeze and if the door is closed it just bangs non stop. They have tried to fix it to no avail. It’s like torture treatment! Oh no! I’m seriously thinking to get them to change it back to standard door frame. It’s so wonky. Totally not the standard I expected. If you grab the wall and try and move it the whole wall wobbles. 😳 Hi, was just looking at random pics on this thread and saw your post, we are owner builders, just letting you know these cav sliders should be fixed to the concrete in 2 locations, maybe look into the cavity and check this has been done? What controller comes as base? additional controller price? The controller is just standard (white box) we updgraded to the tablet which was around $950 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11084Jul 15, 2018 10:13 pm missbeanz Hi everyone, I'm just wondering what is included when you pay for the NBN connection with Coral? Does this include the boxes installed onto the wall? We’ve got a box on the wall in the garage but you will still need to pay the connection to nbn with whoever you choose as a provider around $300 in nsw though if it’s who yr current nbn /internet with it may be cheaper as ours was Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11085Jul 15, 2018 10:16 pm mj-mac4 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Help! We have recessed cement sheeting which is on our plan. But I’m starting to notice that all the other corals similar to ours have there’s flush so it looks neat. We now have these ugly wooden linings at the front. We have the Ventura facade. And never thought to ask for the cement sheeting to be flush so it all matches. We had blue board delivered to our house and the. Took it away a few days ago. My husband thinks it was meant to above our garage door to make it flush. Now we have ugly wooden beading around it. And our gutter guy came to fix the gutters and said that the front pirticowas done wrong and not as per plan. And that’s why the gutter didn’t fix properly?? I’m so confused is this normal looking garagecemwnt sheeting?? Does anyone else have this? Thanks Ours is flush on garage but not above windows we did ask SC if windows would be flush and he said yes but of course we missed reading the recessed on our plans Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11086Jul 16, 2018 10:56 am Who had a third party inspector for PCI. Do they join you on your meeting with the SS or does Coral request the inspector come at a different time? Do they join you on your meeting with the SS or does Coral request the inspector come at a different time? We aren't using one. We have been following the build very carefully (at least twice weekly visits) and the things we picked up along the way have already been corrected. There is a few cosmetic issues that I am hoping will be fixed up this week before PCI next week. But if not, I will make sure they are done before handover. Do they join you on your meeting with the SS or does Coral request the inspector come at a different time? I got a private inspector, and they arranged a time to suit me ( was always early in the morning before I went to work) and they cleared it with my SS. My ss didnt need to be there, was just me and the inspector. Before it got to lockup no clearance was needed, only after due to needing keys. Edit just realized you were talking about pci. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11091Jul 17, 2018 4:44 pm MissLMB E2000 MissLMB Hi all, my partner and I just signed up to build with Coral. We are trying to decide where to spend money when it comes to upgrades and we really like the mirror glass splashback in the kitchen. Does anyone have a rough idea of the price to upgrade? We’re building a Daydream with Designer inclusions so it’s a straight wall with the island in front. Any ideas and advice would be appreciated before we attend our appointments to lock the design in and colours. Thanks in advance 😊. We looked at glass splash back (not mirror but being its essentially glass i'm sure its similar pricing) and it was like $900 linear meter upgrade from memory. Expensive for what it was - we went a hand made white subway tile which cost nothing to upgrade Yeah unfortunately mirror is even more than coloured glass. I have to decide if that money is better well spent somewhere else. Thanks for giving me a better idea, best of luck with whatever stage you are at with your own build. You're welcome. I'm about 4 months post handover (so I occasionally still stalk these pages as we still have our maintenance period to go so I've got a running list). I had a glass splash back in our last house - I loved it but for like $3000 I didn't love it that much lol... was easy to spend the month on other stuff (well my wife did ) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11092Jul 17, 2018 6:48 pm For all the Grange 25 builders. https://www.facebook.com/coralhomes/vid ... 181974628/ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11097Jul 20, 2018 5:58 pm what does everyone think of the technika appliances? I'm thinking about up grading to the induction cook top and also the lcd rangehood. don't want to spend the money if they are not worth it! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11098Jul 20, 2018 7:09 pm Hi Tash801 We have the Technika appliances but we did upgrade the freestanding oven. We figured that if they are cr@p we can replace them later on with my 'dream' appliances (will need to save for a while). Have to say though, so far so good. Even if they only last their warranty period, other appliances to buy right now, so we can save for a fancy oven You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14078 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13746 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1768 |
