So exciting Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10782Apr 11, 2018 10:04 am Bit of a drama with front door hardware. How was everyone's Coral colours when it comes to options like that? We weren't given any choice so asked the BS if we could supply our own, he said sure no drama. We spent a bit on a door pull, keyless lock and roller latch and now its all a drama. Phone calls, emails and such all complaining. The annoying part is he always calls the other half instead of me, so then OH calls me and I sort it out. No matter how many times I ask to be called it's just too much... Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10783Apr 11, 2018 2:39 pm symone Bit of a drama with front door hardware. We’re with a different builder and the ss changed part way through the build and the new one kept ringing my hubby. When he asked for him to call me instead the ss responded “we like to call the one who pays the bills”! My OH responded with “then I suggest you call her” lol. so frustrating majestic35.weebly.com Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10784Apr 11, 2018 9:51 pm symone Bit of a drama with front door hardware. Hmmm that would be annoying! My OH would have told them to call me because he has no idea when it comes to what's going inside the house. Every week is like a surprise for him when our SS sends photos lol. We asked to supply our own handles too but got told no 🤷 Tracyt is building with Coral and was able to supply their own keyless lock to the front door though... search 'coral keyless lock' and you'll find her pics Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10785Apr 13, 2018 6:00 pm Here is a question for anyone that has installed shutters to their Coral Homes windows (A&L) Are your shutters recessed or face fitting? Any issues with being able to remove the window or flyscreen (sliders) for cleaning that dictates the type of installation? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10786Apr 14, 2018 9:55 am Feeling so defeated!!! Coming up to our 58th week and still no home. My husband got laughed at by the area building manager on the phone. Never been treated so poorly in my life. Considering selling our home as it’s just caused our family so much grief it makes me sick. It’s just shatters our dreams. Our marriage is just hanging. Coral Homes can just do what they want to us it seems. Any issues with being able to remove the window or flyscreen (sliders) for cleaning that dictates the type of installation? We are getting recessed but never thought of this ? More than likely will just use high pressure cleaner on outside & not remove screens & inside just open shutters to clean? What a massive nightmare that’s all I can say. Never thought this would ever turn it like this. any news on when & who’s going to fix all the issues? They are currently fixing stuff now they suggest pci won’t be until the 5th of May but that depends if we agree to an easy fix with our meter box and tank which were in the wrong spot the meter box is meant to be closer to the front of our house but it’s not therefore when the tank was installed you couldn’t open the meter box. Based on the plans we would have had enough room between the tank and meter to put a screen up so you couldn’t see the tank from the road but because he meter box is in the wrong spot according to plans it’s now impossible. Also they have not installed a box gutter outlet but are trying to convince us it was meant to be a down pipe. On the plans it’s marked that the down pipe is behind this post yet look at the picks where it is such an eye sore that we are not happy with. Not to mention our stairs. Pic 1 is raw pic 2 was the incorrect stain pick 3 is what we agreed on and pic 4 is what we got. We were told that what we have was clear coat now I’m not sure it was as the colours are so different! It’s ridiculous... yes stairs do look dif but I don’t mind what you have matches wood on front door I wonder if our internal stains are correct too as they are much darker than what we norm would choose but I’m going to sand and redo myself glad they are working on yes but still terrible you are so far over contract Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10796Apr 24, 2018 9:38 pm Cant believe it ryan2007, still no end in sight Wish there was something we could do. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10797Apr 24, 2018 9:40 pm Our frame is up, plumbing is roughed in, roof is on, gyprock and windows delivered. Expecting plasterboarding to start tomorrow and then also brickwork! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10800Apr 25, 2018 11:55 am I’m pretty sure you can, but if the meter person opens it to read your box is another story. I know growing up our meter was behind a gate, dad even put a sign on the gate saying, no animals open gate to read meter and yet they never did. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 8592 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7222 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
