Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 122Jan 09, 2015 12:32 pm Hi lisalent, yeah I can't wait to finish work today and take some photos. It's great that Coral are back to work, this forum is starting to take off again,it was very quiet over Christmas,Julie Re: Coral Homes general build thread 123Jan 09, 2015 1:40 pm welcome back everybody from the holidays hope everyone had a nice relaxing one. We went and saw our house on Wednesday and they had started some small things like finally installing our main bathroom window and also the frame for the bath had been installed as well The view out the big awning window is actually a bit boring so we were thinking possibly installing some deco screens along the high wooden fence outside the window for privacy and something nice to look at while having a bath. Has any one installed deco screens anywhere on their land or house? Going to see the house tomorrow so can't wait for any progress. We are still waiting for the support to be built under the frame that is over hanging the slab. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 124Jan 10, 2015 4:34 pm Well there has been a fair bit of work since Wednesday with more bricking and a meeting with the electrician on Tuesday Pics in thread. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 126Jan 10, 2015 6:11 pm Hello everyone, we were meant to have our slab yesterday, but it didn't happen,SS says it will be Monday or Tuesday weather permitting,I hope so,I can't wait. Here are a few pics of the waffle pods and steel. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My husband got better ones,I try and post them. We also ordered our pendants for for about our kitchen bench, and bedrooms 2,3,4 & the activity room, slowly getting there. We were looking at TV's,we would like an 85inch TV, we are having a 200cm wide x120cm high cutout so we can have the TV recessed, can anyone recommend a TV. Thanks Julie Re: Coral Homes general build thread 127Jan 10, 2015 7:31 pm Looking good Julie. For TV's you can't go wrong with a Samsung or Sony. If your movie buffs and have the cash (and understand what you are getting into) you can go larger with a projector. I'd suggest talking to someone who installs them though if your not sure (such as Videopro). My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 128Jan 11, 2015 5:59 am Hi Coral builders! I am just wondering whether anyone has upgraded from the standard ceaserstone selection to the upgraded colours. I am looking at the Calcutta Nuvo (which is the marbley looking one), and I am hoping to have that bench about 2m long and 600mm thick, with an additional side bench in another colour at 40mm thick. I don't want to get my heart set on it if it is achievable. Does anyone know ballpark costs for this? We thought about a projector, but we prefer the look of a big TV. I wish it would stop raining,it looks like our slab will be delayed again. Did you run with the standard plans or did you make modifications? We are now on to our fourth site supervisor. Unfortunately these issues have also delayed our build. In saying this our new site supervisor has picked up the pace. We pretty much stuck to the standard plan but extended the alfresco and changed some window sizes. We love the floor plan! We're building the Marcoola 32 at Oran Park, not far from you,we probably have the same SS. When did your build start. Julie Re: Coral Homes general build thread 137Jan 11, 2015 9:56 pm Hi Julie the Marcoola is a great design as well. Our build started Apr last year Really disappointing we should of been in before Xmas. It shouldnt be too long now. I suggest just checking things as they go along. We got an independant building inspector to check the build and Coral are rectifying the problems. Julie You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14253 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
