The others all seem to have their power points through their cabinetry and not through stone, i.e. Waterfall ends. Maybe that's the difference? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9191Jul 20, 2017 9:36 pm Eight_3_Home Did anyone select the flush mount smoke detectors during their electrical appointment? http://www.clipsal.com/Trade/Products/P ... tNo=755PFM During our electrical fit off the standard detectors were provided and we were advised when the new ones are supplied they will be installed. The current detectors required batten fix and the new ones are installed like down lights, flush with the ceiling, so obviously the battens will need to be removed to allow the new detectors to be installed flush. We've since been advised that these detectors havent even been approved in Australia nor are they available for install until they pass. This was a $1547.00 upgrade for 7 smoke alarms. We're still waiting for confirmation on whether we are entitled to a credit for them. There was a lack of ownership as to who would be responsible for plaster and paint touch ups if there was any damage during change over, or even when the change would occur. Last i was aware you can still get the clipsal flush mount smokies failing that there are other brands that are flush mount. imo its a waste of cash upgrading to these. They don't look that much better than the surface mounts better off spending the dollars elseware hope this helps Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9193Jul 20, 2017 9:40 pm Eight_3_Home far out why have we got this big awful ugly thing then hmmm Does your power point fix to your stone by any chance? I've just updated it so fingers crossed https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9196Jul 21, 2017 7:15 am H Family What is this app you are referring to? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 9197Jul 21, 2017 10:36 am Hey everyone, we're a week out from handover with Coral in QLD, and just received an email from Origin regarding a meter alteration (something to do with Tariff 31/33 for the Heat pump hot water system). They're saying Energex typically charge up to $800 but the amount can exceed $3000....just about spat my coffee out!! Anyone else had an email like this?? We've paid the connection fee and usage during the build but no one has said anything about having to pay to have the meter set up for this tariff so we were just a bit surprised. In our contract it says Hot Water system will be connected to economy tariff 33 to reduce running costs.....bit vague on who pays for this though?? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1765 |
