Need some more advice please, we are 1 week away from PCI and I wanted to get your opinions.
During the build there were a number of brickwork issues that were patched up. However the mortar in these patch up areas is a different shade of white (Off white mortar).
Is it reasonable to request that these get fixed as they somewhat point out the areas that were fixed?
Yes, it is reasonable. They hope that you are keen to move in and will overlook things...don't do it!!!!!
We have the same problem but were told 'to live with it'.
Good luck with that request, they did a wrong mortar profile on our whole house (it was supposed to be ironed/round) and NSW/QLD state manager is trying to convince us that it is correct (so we'll have to live with it), ... even more so we have issue with the the brickwork under a couple of full length windows being slanted towards the windows (potential issue with water pooling instead of running off) but he said that it'll still run off between the brick and internal lining but I'm not convinced how that works... our independent inspector said they'll have to re-lay those but they're refusing and even accusing our independent of false information (so we'll get another firm to insect the CPI to see if we get the same advice).
