Do they join you on your meeting with the SS or does Coral request the inspector come at a different time? I got a private inspector, and they arranged a time to suit me ( was always early in the morning before I went to work) and they cleared it with my SS. My ss didnt need to be there, was just me and the inspector. Before it got to lockup no clearance was needed, only after due to needing keys. Edit just realized you were talking about pci. was that before or after your PCI date with your SS? I had an inspector throughout all 6 stages. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11091Jul 17, 2018 5:44 pm MissLMB E2000 MissLMB Hi all, my partner and I just signed up to build with Coral. We are trying to decide where to spend money when it comes to upgrades and we really like the mirror glass splashback in the kitchen. Does anyone have a rough idea of the price to upgrade? We’re building a Daydream with Designer inclusions so it’s a straight wall with the island in front. Any ideas and advice would be appreciated before we attend our appointments to lock the design in and colours. Thanks in advance 😊. We looked at glass splash back (not mirror but being its essentially glass i'm sure its similar pricing) and it was like $900 linear meter upgrade from memory. Expensive for what it was - we went a hand made white subway tile which cost nothing to upgrade Yeah unfortunately mirror is even more than coloured glass. I have to decide if that money is better well spent somewhere else. Thanks for giving me a better idea, best of luck with whatever stage you are at with your own build. You're welcome. I'm about 4 months post handover (so I occasionally still stalk these pages as we still have our maintenance period to go so I've got a running list). I had a glass splash back in our last house - I loved it but for like $3000 I didn't love it that much lol... was easy to spend the month on other stuff (well my wife did ) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11092Jul 17, 2018 7:48 pm For all the Grange 25 builders. https://www.facebook.com/coralhomes/vid ... 181974628/ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11097Jul 20, 2018 6:58 pm what does everyone think of the technika appliances? I'm thinking about up grading to the induction cook top and also the lcd rangehood. don't want to spend the money if they are not worth it! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 11098Jul 20, 2018 8:09 pm Hi Tash801 We have the Technika appliances but we did upgrade the freestanding oven. We figured that if they are cr@p we can replace them later on with my 'dream' appliances (will need to save for a while). Have to say though, so far so good. Even if they only last their warranty period, other appliances to buy right now, so we can save for a fancy oven You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 8564 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
