How did it go?
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10661Mar 23, 2018 7:32 pm Ryan2007 Omg that seems like a lot to do fingers crossed they just get their arse into gear! We were so hoping to be in by Easter but again disappointed we know there's going to be things that have not been fixed everyone just ignores it and thinks the issue will go away. We have our building inspector coming through with us anyways. And tomorrow is our meeting with state building manager. How did it go? Yep Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10663Mar 23, 2018 7:38 pm Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10664Mar 23, 2018 7:46 pm BrownDog77 Sorry to ask again but does anyone building the grange with IT hub option have a picture of the IT bench? Our SS is telling us that what we have is as per the plan The plan obviously is from a birds eye view and shows the bench and shelf where the alcove is but you obviously can't see under the bench to see if bench wraps around. Ive posted a pic so you can see its not right. Have emailed HO with another grange pic which is clearly correct but would love another for backup if needed please TIA Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ SaveSave Omg BD, That is terrible! Nobody would accept that!!!! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10665Mar 26, 2018 9:42 am Anyone know how long before they confirm your start date once everything is approved - council approved, covenant approved, all paperwork signed off, money approved. Just being impatient for news. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10667Mar 26, 2018 11:45 am mj-mac4 4 weeks on from council approval and still no start date.. admin keep stuffing everything up!! I’m pretty sure they are trying to space out the other builds in our estate. We got building approval on 27 February. We were given an estimated start date in our contract of 13 April, so hoping this will be right. What was the estimated start date in yours? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10668Mar 26, 2018 3:41 pm Has anyone PLEASE got the details of which colours are in which Caesarstone upgrades? I have the prices but not the colours and I really need to get it sorted ASAP and can’t physically get to the show room in Varsity Lakes, Thank you! Chloe said by the end of the week they should have one for us. I’m so frustrated! I gave them a mouth full on Friday and now she’s finally getting things moving. We had building approval over a month ago then got our building Cert a week after that and all finance and everything is ready to go. I have no idea why there is such a hold up? Maybe the comm games? Who knows we are in northern nsw not far from Gold Coast. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10670Mar 26, 2018 4:06 pm Also on the weekend we drove all through he way to north lakes to visit the new grange 25 display house. I called the lady before we left and asked her if it was build the same size as the plan as I wanted to get a good idea of the size and space of areas, rooms. I went there with my measuring tape and spent 2 hours measuring up all the rooms. The only rooms that were the same as the plan were the 3 back bedrooms. Every other room was atleast .5m larger. Some were over 1m longer. We I approached the sales lady I told her of my finding and told her it is much bigger than the origin grange 25 plan. And she went bright red in the face. It’s so wrong, why not just admit it and save me the 2 hour drive! We were there 2 weekends ago, bestspecials who is also building the grange 25 on here mentioned that it was 0.5m wider so we were prepared for that. It’s disappointing the sales lady wasn’t upfront. We also found out that all the doors including the front door have been upgraded to make them taller, this doesn’t come standard even if you’ve upgraded your ceiling height like we have. Was nice to see the bedrooms were still the same size so gave us a good idea of how to style our rooms. Thanks coral lake The only good thing about the display was the layout and good to see what the plan looks like. We have already upsized our Grange 25 by about 20 square metres, but very disappointing when they don't stick to the plan. The old displays they had at North Lakes (Marcoola and Noosa) were the right sizes. We asked the same questions about why it wasn't the original plan and there was really no answer. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
