Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5213Aug 28, 2016 10:53 pm My parents built a modified 40sq home with Coral 4 years ago and it was completed within 13 weeks. Not a problem and they were so happy. Part of the reason I built with coral as they couldn't reccomed them enough. You never know what you are in for! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5216Aug 28, 2016 11:00 pm I was so worried about this as we had no idea the top of the roller door/front door/alfresco windows were sheeting. We did have the Windows around the rest of the house moved up to Eve height though. To be honest I don't even notice it now! It's the last of my worries. I've looked at houses around us that have the same and I think it's fine. Don't stress! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5217Aug 29, 2016 6:07 am marcoola budoy How much did it cost Becs? Yep $1700 for glass and about $2000 for mirror.. Just found it...$1595 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5218Aug 29, 2016 7:34 am marcoola So guys we have only got FC sheeting above windows aswell but we're rendering the whole house so their flush....but ya'll got me thinking I should have done bricks! What was the cost to do it? We originally upgrades above all windows and doors to brick infills. No thanks to the sales consultant. Only because i had read about it on here. But then when we decided to render the whole house I asked if fc sheeting would look the same once rendered, and they said yes so I thought I'd save myself the money and go back to fc sheeting. Luckily the SS onsite agreed to flush the blue board out otherwise it would have been recessed. If you're rendering I think you just saved yourself some money Here is a photo of one area above window. Still awaiting render. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ C U S T O M. C O R A L. Lol Although flush sheeting did cost us $575.. Wowza- I'm pretty sure brick infills were only 600 for my place but having said that, we took most of our windows to the very top anyway. I still would have flushed out the fc sheeting had I have been told it was an upgrade. We just have one window now that wasn't made bigger (taller) as requested. Glad I pushed for flushed sheeting. It will annoy me from the inside for the rest of my days but ah well. C U S T O M. C O R A L. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
