No worries! I agree.. you can always change it later, i guess if there had to be one of your choices you really didnt like that would be the easiest to fix

Our house is supposed to start getting fixed on Monday but apparently the Plasterer has some more important jobs to finish so he cant start until the week after. SERIOUSLY??? We have paid for this house and cant move in because every ceiling in the house needs to be fixed. Not to mention im still chasing out interim certificate. Our SS is the most gutless person, cant even call me back to explain what's going on. I gave Coral a second chance to get this right and they are throwing it back in my face. Go EAD Coral Homes you useless F*ks! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5165Aug 26, 2016 11:44 am Firstbuild92 Coral are really fu*ing with us right now. Coral never submitted the forms to the private certifier or did the inspections to get the interim occupational cert. I rang the certifier myself as Coral hasn't bothered to follow it up. Then I rang the council and they said its not legal to hand over the keys to a new house without one. Big mistake Coral! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5168Aug 26, 2016 3:32 pm I told my SS that I was very unhappy with being told a plasterer wasn't starting for over a week and that I want to see one at the house on Monday and he said he will see what he can do. You feel sorry for them and pray your build goes fine but I doubt we are going to be spared! Our build start date was 12th of August. Met the SS on the day on site. To my utmost surprise found that the excavation was already done! Did not expect to see anything on the start date. But if only I knew the SS had other things in his mind! The next week the weather was gorgeous, and if everything went to plan our retaining walls should have been done and preparation for slab would have been done but nothing happend. I waited another week to see if anything rolls this week but na. Not a single change. I called the number I had of my SS. And to my surprise again I learnt the SS left! The guy who received the call could not tell who is assigned to our build. Told to call the area building manager and get that information. Checked the job start letter there is no phone number for the area building manager, just the email address. Did they know there would be problems with the build/SS so they do not give out his number straight away or is it me being sinister! Emailed him yesterday, did not get any response. Will contact the sales consultant for his number. I now know I should kill off any tiny bit of hope I had with coral and our build. I should always expect the worst and only then if I can get in terms with the disappointment! I really think there should be a separate thread for the NSW builds of coral. Because before signing in I looked up last few pages and saw people saying good things and generally being happy, only if I knew those builds were all QLD builds. Anyway we should keep posting our bitter experiences here so that no new guys get into the same mess as we do... Building Newport 20, Edmondson Park, NSW Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5171Aug 27, 2016 7:33 pm I don't understand why there is such a huge difference between NSW and QLD builds being they have the same head office. I have read all the threads and have been **** scared reading all the NSW horror stories. The o Ky thing that made me go ahead is the fact my brother just built with them and had an amazing build (14 weeks all up including a pool) and he has just signed on to build another two properties. I've also been watching the progress of the Coral builds where I am building and they have been flying. It's frustrating seeing how many problems the NSW builds are having and we put so much money, trust and hope into having our dream homes built. I really, really hope that the NSW builds turn a corner and everyone gets an amazing home Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5172Aug 27, 2016 9:12 pm shortnstumpy I don't understand why there is such a huge difference between NSW and QLD builds being they have the same head office. When we updated our current laundry the plumber put the hose through the bottom and directly connected it to the trap underneath. If that makes sense. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14023 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13723 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1693 |
