Ours have the metal posts on the inside of the brick pillars Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2011Aug 14, 2015 7:33 pm Hi Nic and shell you are right the strength is in the steel beam inside the brickwork. The bricks, including on the outside of the house are not structural. The extra money def Das is changing the bracing in your roof to direct the load away from wooden posts. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2012Aug 15, 2015 1:13 pm Coral management have been really proactive in attempting to keep us happy. They've agreed to let us make changes to the frame! It's only cosmetic nothing structural and I'm really grateful they're willing to be flexible. So while we wait for this to be actioned, our exterior is nearly complete. Photos in thread! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2013Aug 15, 2015 7:04 pm Shan81 Any one who is building a Bahama 50? Hi Shan We are planning to build Bahama 50 with a detached granny flat. At the moment we are waiting for the contract to arrive. How is the progress of your home? Thanks DK Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2014Aug 15, 2015 7:13 pm Hi All Just need some help in relation to understanding the time it takes after signing of the tender and issue of Contract. We have signed on Final Tender and are waiting for Contract. Just want to know the time it took for you. Thanks Dk Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2015Aug 15, 2015 7:52 pm Hi DK, We signed our contract as well just last week, waiting do the survey and the pre tender to arrive hopefully in 4 weeks. Where are you building? We are building in Kellyville just off Balmoral road. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2017Aug 15, 2015 8:27 pm We have chosen the same Facade, where are you building? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2018Aug 15, 2015 8:27 pm How did you did the FLoor space ratio thingy that the council is asking Re: Coral Homes general build thread 2020Aug 15, 2015 10:09 pm That is good DK. How long did it take you to reach to the contract stage. Mine should hopefully get moving. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14293 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14370 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4379 |
