I came across a part that seems to permit me to bring my own tradie on site during construction (before practical completion). Has anyone here done this successfully with Coral Homes? I'm thinking of bringing in an electrician to install all my lighting. As I've never used a sparky before, so you guys think it's worthwhile? We are not doing a whole lot, a few LED downlights here and there, and the house isn't very big. Noosa 23 MKII. - I'm wondering if we will actually be saving any money here? Coral want $60 per new light point, and another $21 to install MY own supplied down light. - Further, I'm finding it difficult to get any serious prices about electrical from my sales agent. Is this such a secret? If I call HO will they know? Should I ask Clipsal directly instead? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 159Jan 16, 2015 7:44 pm Slab form work looking good s_mack and welcome back to the country I don't know if coral would extend the slab that far as it might cost too much to make sure the foundations won't be affected. They might tell you to speak to the concreter if you are getting a drive way. I forget exactly what we were charged by Coral for additional light points but I think it was around $60 per light. Clipsal wanted to charge us an additional $78 to fit an owner supplied light. Our sales guy just told us to deal directly with the electrician as it would be a lot cheaper. Can't give you a price for that as we haven't met our sparky yet. Guess it may vary depending on where you live too. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14021 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13723 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
