Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 30, 2014 12:08 pm Hi A bit excited, we just put a deposit down for our first block of land!! Before we did this we had a few dealings witj the builder we have chosen to go with & he gave us a turnkey price which includes everything. It worked out to be at the top end of our budget. The land is at Watagan park cooranbong nsw. Just before we paid our deposit the land salesman asked if the builder included the $5,500 cost of connecting the recycled water tank which is under ground?? No he did not include this! When I spoke to the salesman 2 days prior to paying our land deposit all he said was we needed $1,300 approx for legal fees...nothing about $5,500!! We then went to the builder straight after & they are telling me it's a land cost not something the builders charged?? We are fhb & I am terribly worried that we are going to get stung with a $5,500 cost that was never mentioned!! Any help on this one would be appreciated? Re: recycled water connection costs? 4Nov 30, 2014 2:49 pm Yes it does! That's almost the same cost as a tank. We have three toilets to connect to in our home. Hopefully some others can share their experience with recycled water. Re: recycled water connection costs? 5Nov 30, 2014 2:57 pm Agree - we have a tank underground - part of deal. We had to get the builder to connect etc. The developer supplied the gear to do it - and a gauge. Not sure on price - but feel $5,500 sound high. Figure sounds like it includes the tank ...
