Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 27, 2014 1:08 am Hi all, we are sorting our pre-start out at the moment and have decided that we will supply our own kitchen appliances after handover, which is fine with the builder, they said they just need the measurements of the appliances to leave the required space. The only issue I had was if they stuff something up with the measurements and our appliances don't fit who is responsible? Pre-start lady said we are (might have been miss communication?), but then a sales rep from good guys said that if we require the builder to leave a certain space and they stuff it up, they have to fix it. Sounds logical to me, the only case I could imagine it would be our responsibility is if we give the wrong measurements or decide on different appliances in a different size. But as long as we provide the correct measurements for fitting it shouldn't be a problem should it? Any insights to that would be much appreciated. Might be best to make the dimensions say 10-15mm bigger once everything is built you can infill spaces but you can't make something bigger. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
