Built more than once? Why did you build again?

Just wondering for those who have built more than once, why did you decide to build again?

Wanted to move to a new area?
Wanted a bigger house?
Wanted to downsize?
Weren't completely happy with your first homes design?
Or any other reason Ive missed!

Moved to a different location and not prepared to compromise on what I wanted (for 2nd and 3rd new houses)

Wanted to move to the country and not in the town, didn't want a typical suburban house

I keep doing it because I like building.

I couldn't buy an existing house as it wouldn't ever be what I want.

I'm on my second build and moved due to first home being on an ever busier feeder road and wanting something different to most new suburban houses and more land as at some point we will have kids.

Wanted a bigger block and needed a bigger house. Now we can afford a few more luxury items that we couldn't afford first time around

We are building for the second time. We wanted a bigger block and bigger house also. Our first house we built is what we could afford back then and this time around its our forever house.
