Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 24, 2014 10:48 pm Hi, I would like to know at which stage of the building would one expect to meet the site supervisor for the first time; ideally during site start or frame stage? Whose responsibility is it to clear the land prior to site start; owner or builder? Re: Site supervisor 2Nov 24, 2014 11:00 pm Every builder seems to be different but we meet our SS once our walls reach plate high and as have a walk through with them Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Site supervisor 3Nov 25, 2014 5:41 am It's Your responsibility to keep the site clean until the builder 'Takes possession of the site'. But - speak to him before complaining about something to management; don't turn up every day and expect lots of activity; be polite and ask if you want to have a walk through - its just polite to do so. Give him your number - ours rang us a few times with a question and a suggestion. If you are worried about something ASK him. And - don't worry about anything the subbies may say - if they complain he may just want them to do a top job. But - a good SS usually surrounds himself with good teams.
