Hope they don't take long.. i spoke to the admin today and they still not giving me the pci date. Just got an update saying the rendering will be finished this week and paint touch ups and clean up next week. They have already applied for occupancy certificate. She said she will get me a date from supervisor tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed they get a date sooner.
On the positive side we have changed our mind with the couch and bought one from focus on furniture, bought dining , coffee table and barstool from harvey norman. Am very pleased of how it has turned up . But no pci dates yet . Am so worried now if i still will be able to go before 20th of feb . My balcony door is supposed to be stained but i realised today it is been painted. But worried if am going to raise it now and they might delay the pci for that reason. Can i tell them during pci or after that? Our is stained hmmmm. Yeah our PCI was a stuff around same with handover date. Only thing is if you bring it up to them and tell them to fix it after handover they might take their time coming back to fix it but I'd definitely say something to them & keep letting them know you need to be in before 20th of Feb. May i ask what colour your render is please? Hi Ryalls, Thank you so much.. even we are so impressed about the facade. First we were thinking of spending this money on somethingelse but just loved this facade so had to go with it. The darker one below balcony is carriage.. and lighter one is cb dune. Bricks are brown terrain. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(splashback and carpets i 352Feb 03, 2016 12:47 pm jang25 Ryalls_first_build Hi Jang Just found this thread, What a beautiful house.. Dune was one of the sample pots i had but it looks alot darker on my sample board the colour consultant ended up suggesting i go with rampart.. although now im not so sure lol _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(splashback and carpets i 353Feb 10, 2016 9:50 pm No pci date yet . The whole last week they only did rendering. This whole week only paint touch ups and still hasn't finished the house. Seriously don't know why they would drag the completion when we are in an urgent. HoweverI have found an accomodation in dandenong for a month. Just wondering when will they give the dates for handover and pci . My contract is ending on 5th of march. And they still can't even give me an estimate date for handover. I don't see any valid reason for this delay. This building journey seems to be a never ending tale for me. Am sick of calling the admin everyday and broken promises from the supervisor. Sorry for this long vent friennds. Just wanted to be in soon thats all. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(splashback and carpets i 354Feb 12, 2016 9:26 am After a long struggle i only got my pci on 22nd of this month. They have booked for QA on 19th oc inspection on 19th aswell. Am atleast happy that i got a date for a final walk through. I just believed that we can have handover when we give them cheque. But they cant tell me yet when we can have our handover. Moreover even if we give them cheque it will have to reach their account and then from there it will take 5 days for handover. Is this true? Do you have to wait this long after pci for handover Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 355Feb 13, 2016 3:38 pm Congrats on PCI date yay!!! That's exciting, you will be in soon. I don't see any reason why they have to wait for the cheque to be cleared if it's a bank cheque. We exchanged the keys for the bank cheque with the builder on the handover day. We only had to wait for 10 days for them to fix the issues raised at PCI. Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 Thank you OM!! Very excited, stressed and got all mixed emotions now. We are busy packing now as we have to move our rental next week. Thank god we were able to find an accomodation for a month. Even i have only heard of handing over the cheque on the handover day. But seriously these guys should be kidding coz they will only book for installers only when the fund reaches their account.ske So like after giving cheque we need to wait for 5 to 6 days. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 357Feb 13, 2016 8:25 pm We handed over our cheque on the day we received the keys. I have read this to be the case for most builders. 8Homes better get their act together and change their process as many people are reading this thread. This may be a negative for them. Re: our 1st build with 8homes in SE(PCI booked on 22nd feb) 358Feb 13, 2016 8:35 pm Hey Jang i'm glad you have got a date and very lucky to get accom for a month. Yes jillybug when we told them that most builders do it this way they said this how eight homes work. So we just cant do anything about it, just regretting now for trusting them .
