Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 15, 2014 12:14 pm So we have decided to stay with CH and build the Lennox design. With 3 kids of which 2 are teenagers , the layout suited us perfectly. The building time was also important to us as all the other builders were afraid to quote a time frame due to bricky shortages. So far so good with CH . The building consultant has been great . We have made a few changes to the design by adding o/h cupboards in the kitchen and relocating the larder to the WIL. In doing so we have incorporated the original Larder into our WIR - Main. My wife has heaps of shoes and clothes so the original WIR would just not do. We actually measured it up and found it to be to small for 2 . We also changed to a double shower and vanity like most people have done. We leo changed to the new aluminium front door. We rang the consultant with the changes yesterday only to find out that the draftees were busy with the plan already - we only signed on Monday . So the ball is rolling already . We are building in Holland Park Estate - Lot 978 Sunray Ave. Titles - January 15th and we hoping to get into our house by November 2015 in time for christmas. Land Titles - 15 January 2015 Will be interested to hear what others are doing with the Lennox. Im stuck on colours. We like the Mundaring Red - Brick . Sounds like your plan will work great, especially the larger walk in robe - I am jealous of that one!!!! What Elevation did you choose? We went with the Sol (with the planter/window box in front of the home theatre) Re: Building the Lennox Design with Celebration Homes 3Nov 17, 2014 11:28 pm hi step1 we are also building the lennox, just finished pre start! yay! I will be posting final design soon, we have made heaps of changes, looking forward to following your build Hi Nessy - lou , how did your pre start go ? Will be interested in your time line. We signed 2 weeks ago now. Our titles are supposedly 15th January . I was told i can make more changes at pre start without a variation charge so hopefully that is true. Can i ask what your pre start extras bill came to ? We went with the Sol (with the planter/window box in front of the home theatre) Hi Becksyfreemo - We went with the court. The lennox is actually the best value design on the market as it comes with carpets and tiles at 296sqm. Lots of room . We added an extra 2m on the width of the garage to give us more storage. We also placed a full size roller door to the rear of the property from the extended garage. Chuck up your plans so we can have a look at your changes. Re: Building the Lennox Design with Celebration Homes 7Dec 02, 2014 10:57 am Step 1 Hi Becksyfreemo - We went with the court. The bigger garage would be brilliant for storage, I wish we had thought about storage more, we were just thinking "I want a house" hahaha From a pure legal perspective, if you've signed the variation, it is a very high bar to have it set aside.
