Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 84Jun 29, 2015 11:04 pm Hahaha!! Oh dear. I was trying to post some advice to no avail once ... Telling someone to buy something from D!ck Smith .... Forum Master has an issue with Tricky Dicky's apparently. ADH build Adelaide 2015 85Jun 29, 2015 11:16 pm We have the 'witch bank'. I loved that 'which bank?' campaign ... Think it was brilliant .. Peeps still use that phrase and know who you mean. We're finding them good to deal with. Stuck with them a long time now. They are all scoundrels. I remember the days when they almost felt like a community service (pre-blood sucking fees) Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 86Jun 30, 2015 6:29 pm I have been with the witch bank for over 30 years but whenever we have loan detail issues they are so slow despite us asking over and over "do you have everything you need" luckily our broker is really great and does a fine job. Was very pleased to see excess soil removed today and site neatly levelled and all the rubbish was removed (which I did pile in a corner last weekend) looks lovely and all the neighbours commented on how good it was to see, which is nice to see and hear. It made me happy to see it ( our future home) being treated nicely.... Will check it out tomorrow and hopefully didnt speak too soon and no vulnerable sewer inspection points/ water connections...... sticking up in the middle of the yard were broken....... Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 87Jun 30, 2015 11:18 pm Ooh good news! They removed the soil to give your chippies clear access to get on with your frames. Yay!! There will be movement at the station Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 88Jul 01, 2015 3:35 pm Excitement plus didn't expect anything until Friday frame day delivery but today on our cleaned up flat site........bricks. Yeeeeeeeehaaaaaa very excited. Very close to new fence but looks like they were careful, first panel of new fence got knocked about with some deliveries. Thanks! It is very surreal, you feel like you wait and wait and then it happens and you cant quite believe it. Very happy so far. Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 91Jul 02, 2015 5:09 am Heheheh know the feeling sister. Yay!!! Bricks are the penultimate tangible sign ... Off to a great start Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 92Jul 02, 2015 8:38 pm Ta da I found you. Your really starting to motor along now bluesteel. I just read through your thread and your mood boards are a fantastic idea!! I've done the same but pen to paper in a folder and then added folders on my Pinterest thing so I can cross reference what I'm supposed to be doing in each room. What a painful time you had with council and the room requirement for the front of the house, regardless I think it's a great little space (sewing room sounds good to me) good luck with your frames tomorrow, my big kids really loved the frames going up and being able to see there rooms, woo hoo on the bricks amazing they have been delivered so quickly, no delays there. Looking forward to following along Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 93Jul 02, 2015 9:53 pm Hi Tribe, I am a bit excited about the frame delivery, (it is ridiculous to be excited about deliveries) and then being able to see how the rooms feel. Kids are excited to run amok, they are 7 and 4 so that's just what they do........ Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 94Jul 02, 2015 10:09 pm I saw a delivery today. No idea what the heck it was ... Some Colorbond metal and some boxes. Whatever it is, it also got me excited! The building delivery man is the grown-up's Santa Claus Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 95Jul 03, 2015 6:18 pm Yes, the delivery people are like Santa and I felt sad today cause Santa didn't arrive, guess next week. Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 96Jul 03, 2015 7:29 pm Oh poop I've been waiting to see if your frames rocked up, Santa might of over slept by the sounds of it. To be honest I get really excited about deliveries too (we had some metal stuff delivered and I called mr tribe to tell him he laughed I was excited but didn't know what it was, turned out to be our flashing) Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 97Jul 03, 2015 7:31 pm So glad for H1! Seems silly to be disappointed but was. Oh well.....might do some online shopping to appease the boos . Need to figure out which down lights going to use. Thanks Tribe! Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 98Jul 03, 2015 8:09 pm I get a bit disappointed when we have nothing days, I know I shouldn't as our build is going very quickly. Roll on Monday for your frames. I'll join you in shopping I have one more pendant to tick off. Oh good luck those things are a mine field. We got these http://www.beaconlighting.com.au/lighti ... lobes.html, they are through the whole house bar the fan lights in the bedrooms and the 3 pendants Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 99Jul 05, 2015 8:16 pm Thanks Tribe your build is going very well, that doesn't mean you can't want more . Hope it is tomorrow, the frame delivery . Went today with Miss 7 and swept off mud from the brick deliveries probably completely futile and neighbours probably thinking I am nutso, but that's okay. I felt better. Bought this last pendant for the entrance. Called the Danish Flight Light. I found the LED benchmark website really helpful http://www.ledbenchmark.com/ Re: ADH build Adelaide 2015 100Jul 05, 2015 8:43 pm I do feel a bit greedy wanting more, tomorrow will be a good day for all of us, frames for you and cladding for us. Tomcat is bricks to I think I think it's a good thing to go and do things at the new house and including miss 7 would be fun for her. I took our miss 9 upstairs to see her room and all she went on about was the giant blobs of plasterers bog on the floor . That's a cool pendant, It will throw light out and make nice shapes on the walls. Those downlights look great 13w will be nice and bright. We didn't get a choice it was the ones we have or the next size up and empty pockets.
