Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 31, 2016 5:51 pm Hello So we are building in Playford Alive in Adelaide with Sterling Homes. We have a modified version of the Watervale Terrace. We signed in early December. Land settled about a week ago. We have received working drawings and done selections (as we are interstate we are doing things in a slightly different order). We received our soil report on Friday and we understand things are with council. Anyone had any recent experience with Sterling at Playford Alive? How did it go? How long do council approvals currently take? Re: Playford Alive with Sterling Homes 2Feb 01, 2016 10:18 pm Cant comment on playford alive council but with onkaparinga council with sterling homes took us about 2/3 months to get approval with onkaparing council you can follow your application online to see what stage it is up to not sure if you can do that will your council. Re: Playford Alive with Sterling Homes 3Apr 10, 2016 9:36 am I have no experience with Sterling but I am building at Playford Alive with Rivergum. My approvals process was quoted at being 4 months to complete however each stage was really quick, under 4 weeks for encumbrance, two weeks for planning and 3 or 4 for building rules and final approval. I think Playford alive being a partly Playford council project they probably give those builds priority.
