Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 21Mar 17, 2015 10:14 am Hi all, I'm so happy this forum has been started. We are building in Rappel Street, hopefully we will be in in the next month or two. The estate is coming along so nicely. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 22Mar 17, 2015 6:59 pm Hi Ameava, Welcome! Who are you building with and how has your build process been? We're utilising an independent inspector throughout our build to identify anything we might miss, particularly during the structural stages. Did anyone else recieve a bill/s from Yarra Valley Water earlier in the year? I am investigating mine as the plan number quoted on the bill is not for my lot based on the information in my land contract. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 23Mar 18, 2015 10:48 pm Welcome Ameava, hope its all going smoothly for you. Greychle we havent received anything from Yarra Valley Water. Regarding the fencing, we've had requests from neighbours to erect rear fencing, and queried the estates fencing with them (in regard to the wing fencing). They know about the issue and said there's much confusion within this estate as PEET keep on changing the guidelines, which he reckons is not uncommon with PEET and Australand. We've queried this with PEET and its "being reviewed" but they won't answer any phone calls or clarify things. A bit disappointing when you've invested so much into the area and build, you'd expect such an important issue to be clarified quickly! Very frustrating. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 24Mar 19, 2015 1:25 pm We are building with Boutique- so far so good, a few little errors but nothing too major. Not sure about the Yarra valley bill, will have to look through my paperwork( in the middle of packing.) Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 25Mar 19, 2015 4:38 pm Hi Ameva and welcome, We too are building in Rappel Street with Homebuyers Centre the same company as Boutique. You probably will have Luke as your site manager as well. I have recieved two bills from yarra water as we have been building now since before christmas. How is everyone going with your builds? I have started to source fencing quotes, a very long and tiring experience as no one will answer or return my calls. Anyway more than happy to share who i end up with if they are good and anyone is interested. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 26Mar 19, 2015 7:20 pm Hi all, Ameava, we might be neighbours; we have a boutique going up on both sides of our property! Our build is moving along quickly now and our frame is up with the roof about to go on. Newbee, if you still have the bills, take a look and check the plan number listed (it will have your lot number). We also received 2, one was definitely not ours and we received the correct bill yesterday. The other bill references Mickleham Rd and is still being investigated by YVW. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 27Mar 20, 2015 8:17 pm Hi everyone, Newbee1 we did have Luke, but now we have Angelo. He's a nice guy also. Greychle, I think we might be neighbours. I have a Henley house to the right and I think the other is a Porter Davis- don't quote me though. I am curious about this Yarra valley water bill- will have to get onto it. I read previous posts and was just wondering if a FB page was created? Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 28Mar 23, 2015 11:05 am The neighbours on our rear have gone through Into Fencing. We've spoken to them and they're very professional and communication is excellent. I think they've done a few in the estate now. They don't do the wing fencing though in miniscreen, but that's ok as most people are opting out of wing fencing or might do it later on. PEET have been in touch with my husband and they're happy for anyone to contact them with any discrepancies as their design team do go out but not weekly on anything like that. So they're happy for anyone to email them a pic or the lot number. We actually spoke to our neighbour as we gave permission for Into Fencing to share our number. He has noticed a diamond mesh security front door which isn't allowed, but we haven't been down to look, so that's an example. Good luck everyone. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 29Mar 25, 2015 7:24 pm Hi All, Ameava, we're definitely neighbours! We are building the Porter Davis. I never followed through with setting up a Facebook group as I wasn't sure if I am allowed to create one in the estate name or if Peet would eventually create and manage it however I'm happy to add people to my Facebook privately if anyone's interested. Has anyone met any other neighbours when visiting your blocks? We have met someone from further down the street and also someone from another street by chance who were working at a shop we purchased some furniture from! Hope everyone's builds are progressing well Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 30Mar 26, 2015 11:18 am Well nice to meet you neighbour.. I have met my other next door neighbours, they were up at their block one evening when we were there. I've also met the people in the house behind us. I had a look at my water bill and they seem to have the correct details. Our tiler has just finished so hopefully we aren't too far away. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 31Mar 27, 2015 4:13 pm Hi everyone Great to hear some people will be neighbours Unfortuantely we have still not heard back from Hume council so are going to have to pay our fencing bill in full and hopefully our neighbours will pay us back when they move in. Ameava your home is coming along so fast. We are a little jealous as Boutique hasnt worked on our site for over a week now. Very dissapointed as our garage door was due to go up 2 weeks ago. Looks like someone has moved into one of the hermitage homes as well in the street which is exciting. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 32Apr 01, 2015 9:42 pm Hi everyone.. Met our neighbours tonight who told me about this form and took a while to find this thread... We are building a boutique home at lot 229! Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 33Apr 02, 2015 8:10 am Hi RobandStacey Welcome to the forum. So we have been told we are only 17 days away from handover which is great however... Warning to all other Boutique owners.. we had our independent building inspector go through our home again today and all the issues picked up from our first imspection have not been fixed. As such our whole house is out of line as the slab was not straightened up from the outset. Now it is looking like we are going to have to get them to pull down the plaster and redo the walls so they are straight. Really annoyed as our site supervisor assured us that all the defects picked up in the first report were fixed. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 34Apr 02, 2015 8:14 pm Wholly crap! That's devastating news... We don't have an independent surveyor but might have to get one! That must have been Luke? We have Angelo and our house is looking amazing with no issues so far... Touch wood! Rob is a joiner and has had a good look at the structure so far and it's very well built... But we will be going over it now! I'm so sorry to hear this but I'm sure boutique will do everything they can to fix the problems.. It is their reputation! Looks like Luke didn't handover to Angelo too well! Who's you construction contact at boutique? Ours is Rhiannon and she's pretty switched on... We've established a good relationship with Angelo which always helps! So lucky you have your independent surveyor and he picked up on all this.... Hope things work out for you and I'm sure we will meet shortly in our street... We pop in a lot! Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 35Apr 02, 2015 9:30 pm Hi Stacey Yeah we started with Luke and now have Angelo he seems much better. We are dealing with Dee at Boutique who is good however couldnt help much with the stuff up. How long away are you guys? I am looking foward to meeting everyone from this forum Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 36Apr 02, 2015 9:59 pm Hi, we aren't quite lockup yet... So maybe June! If all goes to plan! Yes I'm looking forward to meeting everyone too... I met Mathew and Rachel last night who are building the porter Davis beside us. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 37Apr 03, 2015 8:32 am hi all, That's devistating news newbee1. I hope it all gets sorted for you soon so you can be excited again about your new home. I think Angelo has been great. The only issue we had with Boutique was the paint colour- the colour we chose looked awful. We sort of relied on our pre start consultant for guidance as we were a little undecided and we had to choose in such a short amount of time. Angelo was really good and helped us get it repainted as he knew how upset I was. boutique were sympathetic, but at the end of the day we chose the colour and paid to get it redone. We should have handover around the 20th of April- we are doing our flooring ourselves. Just curious does anyone here have kids? Can't wait for us all be to be moved in and maybe meet you all. Have a great easter. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 38Apr 03, 2015 9:22 am Hi All, The forum is a hive of activity now! That's terrible news Newbee, which independent inspector are you using? We have gone with Darbecca. How long are the rectification works expected to take? Ameava, the colour selections are extremely overwhelming. I'm still not sure how ours will look once all combined but we went with neutral colours so we should be safe! I am surprised more of us haven't crossed paths yet; I drop past the street most nights on my way home from work. We don't have any children. Wishing every one a safe and happy long weekend Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 39Apr 03, 2015 12:57 pm It is very overwhelming Greychle- we went neural also except the original wall colour was a cold colour and the rest of the house are warms colour...all this warm/cold colours is new stuff to me- now I'm an expert.. Re: Anyone building/buying in Aspect Estate Greenvale? 40Apr 05, 2015 8:15 pm Hi all Greychle we also used Darbecca he has been fantastic. Looks like we will be in the week after you Ameava as our handover is booked for tge 27th of April. We have been put back 2 weeks with the issues however at least we know everything will be fixed. Completly understand regarding colours it is so hard to choose. We do not have any kids but do have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6746 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 25590 |
