Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 05, 2014 7:15 am Hi Was wondering if anyone has used Harkaway homes and can share their experiences. Also on their website they provide the price of a home and suggest to double the amount to obtain the overall cost. I was just wondering how accurate this method is and if it's realistic. Cheers Re: Harkaway homes 2Dec 01, 2014 11:37 pm Hi, I'll be following this post closely as I'm wanting to build a Harkaway home in South Australia I was advised for a price indication of a Harkaway home at an early stage you can multiply the size of the home in house squares by $12,000 per square, this will provide you with a total build estimate based on a project managed approach using subcontractors to undertake the construction works. This calculation incorporates lock up package as well as the remaining building works to completion, including a mid-level interior finish. There are exclusions to consider within this estimate such as connections and soft furnishings. Hope this helps. I have a copy of the brochure and price indications if you need me to send you pictures. Id love to hear people's experiences with Harkaway homes. Jye Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74220 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
