Went for a drive by at 8am.... framework had started!! Had a chat to the chippys for about 30 mins, very friendly guys. All frames fabricated on site (roof trusses are pre-fab). Noggins are at 90 degrees to normal which make running in of future cable much easier! Pics were taken about 4pm! They achieved a lot in one Saturday! Looking through the entrance (widened by 1 brick, 230mm, over standard)...... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Master bedroom. (Hallway, ensuite and laundry frames yet to be installed)...... Modified. 31Mar 15, 2015 11:33 am Good post. You have inspired me to use Sketchup. Have had quite a bit of trouble imagining what my kitchen will actually look like. I was considering building with Bold but they seem to be more based on the Northside of Brisbane. Re: Bold Properties Albatross 255... Modified. 32Mar 15, 2015 2:04 pm Jojeke Good post. You have inspired me to use Sketchup. Have had quite a bit of trouble imagining what my kitchen will actually look like. Go for it. If you have any questions, PM me. As I said, youtube tutorials worked for me. Roofs are the hardest thing to get your head around. I'll try and find the video I used. Where are you building and have you chosen a builder? As you can see we are only half way there with our build, but Bold have been excellent. Flexibility was the key for me. Nothing has been a problem for them. Re: Bold Properties Albatross 255... Modified. 34Mar 28, 2015 10:59 pm Not much has happened this week. That sketch up render is the best one I've seen would love something like that of my place makes it so easy to choose colours and fencing and landscape etc absolutely fantastic! We used to live in a taigum townhouse too, loving your build so far and will be following your thread I'm impressed with the house I did have a quick look at bold when we were looking but they all seemed like narrow lot small designs must have missed the bigger ones. Front facade looks fantastic too! Re: Bold Properties Albatross 255... Modified. 36Mar 30, 2015 2:11 pm Cheers MrBee. Just checked out your thread. Wow!! I would love to have gone full custom. I reckon we could have. Oh well. Maybe one day we will shift to acreage and build a custom home. I absolutely love the process. Where in Taigum were you? I'm over living in a townhouse. Re: Bold Properties Albatross 255... Modified. 37Mar 30, 2015 2:25 pm Matymoo Cheers MrBee. Just checked out your thread. Wow!! I would love to have gone full custom. I reckon we could have. Oh well. Maybe one day we will shift to acreage and build a custom home. I absolutely love the process. Where in Taigum were you? I'm over living in a townhouse. We did search for a few months for a project home to suit us, but it was more the size and shape of our block didn't suit the usual 10-15m frontage houses they seemed to have, in alot of respects though it was lucky we went custom the amount of changes and upgrades we have made during the process! We were on Handford road near Rhogan Rd end, was just a 2 bedroom high set on 110m2 we went from there to 800m2 at Morayfield and now ended up where we are hopefully found the right size block and house for us. I'm just looking at your google sketchup renders for the first time on a PC (not iphone) and must commend you again they are absolutely amazing! Wish i had that kind of skill to help plan external landscaping and front fences would make things alot easier! Good progress on your build looking forward to watching your updates Re: Bold Properties Albatross 255... Modified. 38Mar 30, 2015 5:54 pm Some plastering done today.
