Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 26, 2014 2:01 pm Hi All,
Signed my building contract around 4 weeks ago. I decided to build with Watersun - not very well known on these forums it seems. I'm building the Kingsley with them and is my first home. They have been great to deal with so far! Contact is an 8 month build time, im guessing because of xmas in the middle maybe. They haven't started much yet - but done the "tapping" on my block. Re: Building with Watersun 7Dec 22, 2014 10:01 pm Well the person that I was dealing with at Watersun has left. No massive deal beside the fact they didn't forward their emails on. Didn't hear anything from an email I sent a week ago and final rang the office to see what was going on. Someone got back to me within 15mins. Anyway im waiting on some 14 day period to be over then according to them a building permit will be issue. Nothing further will happen this year for me. Hopefully more to report in the new year. Re: Building with Watersun 9Jan 31, 2015 9:52 pm Well got a call on Wednesday regarding they need to do another site survey due to missing pegs. Had to fork out almost a $1000 to get this "re done" wasn't Watersun fault more a developer issue so might take it up with them, but overall not to stressed. I guess this means things are moving forward.... (below my 500 buck peg) the down side to these things they can easily be rip out by someone Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Watersun 11Mar 04, 2015 8:00 pm Got a call the other day saying my site cut has been done! slab is due to be poured in the next 2 weeks so i have been told! Will try and go on the weekend to take some photos. So i guess now the fun starts! Re: Building with Watersun 15Mar 29, 2015 6:38 pm did a drive by on the weekend, retaining walls are done on this sides. There is now a power box present as well not sure if connected or not. Had some draw string still there so maybe not... Bunch of crash rock was sitting on the block as well im guessing ready for the concrete or something. So almost 3 weeks or so now so far so good i think.... I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports… 2 4480 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15244 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this?
