Aluminium roller shutters (installed over windows on external walls) Canvas blinds (as above) Awnings (as above - 'canopy' structure above windows - typically a timber frame with roofing) Larger eaves Verandas Internal installations Heavy drapes with good lining Shutters I suggest you visit a blind/curtain centre, good place to start --- they can show you the options.
