Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 17, 2014 9:35 pm Hi all. Went and inspected work so far and found a hole had been bashed through the fast brick on our bedroom wall. After closer inspection we found a thin ( 4mm) wire rope that is positioned down the cavity out the hole and up our bedroom wall. This is attached to where the steel beam sits on the brick work. The wire rope isn't hard up against the wall and protrudes off the wall about 6mm. Either they're going to slap heaps of plaster on this wall or they're going to chase the wall and poke it in to the chase cavity. Has anyone else come across this practise of beam securing?
