It pays to build a double storey!! You can try our concreter. We were happy with him and he is great with drainage too. Assisted us heaps with the pooling around our house. He was not the cheapest but he came highly recommended by other residents. 0432 071 280 - Tyler Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 423Jun 10, 2015 1:53 pm Thanks Jill ill get hubby to give him a call. Yeah the backyard was a big reason why we built a double. They just don't sell big blocks like they used to or else they are ridiculously expensive or on a corner lot. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 427Jun 10, 2015 3:07 pm Yours isnt far behind in size to ours I don't know how ppl can build on like 350 blocks they are tiny. Yeah definitely if you build again go double so much space not just at the back but on the sides as well. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 428Jun 10, 2015 4:25 pm Lol mine is only 400! And i am looking at downsizing to 392 Hope your front area gets sorted soon! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! And i am looking at downsizing to 392 Hope your front area gets sorted soon! But your back area looks big because you built a two storey. Another item to check on my list for our next build Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 430Jun 10, 2015 5:27 pm PEARZ Lol mine is only 400! And i am looking at downsizing to 392 :: Hope your front area gets sorted soon! Wow your backyard looks the same size as ours especially with your huge extended patio area. Downsizing already? Another double? Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 431Jun 10, 2015 6:10 pm [[Sapphire]] PEARZ Lol mine is only 400! And i am looking at downsizing to 392 :: Hope your front area gets sorted soon! Wow your backyard looks the same size as ours especially with your huge extended patio area. Downsizing already? Another double? I know but I've decided i dont want a big garden, too much maintenance and expensive to landscape lol Haha we'll see regarding the second build... nothing is set in place yet. Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Seeds aren't that cheap though either unfortunately and can risk of washing away or birds eating them. Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 434Jun 10, 2015 9:41 pm happy to hear things are getting sorted out for you . my lot is just 420 even smaller. I also prefer easy maintenence backyard:) Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 435Jun 10, 2015 10:36 pm Hmmm we've done most of our landscaping but we won't as careful so we have heaps of weeds going where our bamboos are growing but been so cold, windy and rainy to do any gardening. Simone you're like me once hayfever season starts i can barely be outside without going crazy! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Yeah we've got weeds growing faster then our grass Pearz lol and dog paw prints everywhere in the mud and on our slab lol once we plant plants I just hope he wont try and eat them lol I never realized how windy it is in this area, so crazy! Luckily my hayfever hasn't been that bad but I'll have to wait and see what happens when we get a garden going eeeek Re: Newport 309 - First home :) 437Jun 11, 2015 6:25 am oh yeah when I came in last week saw simonds has already had their fence up. my site start is only going to be end of this month . cant wait to start..
