Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Neighbour's builder storing materials on our land 21Oct 16, 2014 5:58 pm Hahahahahaha I am laughing so much at these stories!!! Just hilarious! I left work early today and stopped outside. I just did a walk around the perimeter to check what was happening. Two guys were next door and they came over and clarified where the boundary was. There are two pegs clear as clear, as well as the square survey pegs in the ground, but nevermind! Apparently the Ss thought that 6m gap was a whole other block! Hahaha oookay then.... The two guys were lovely, and I was very polite. I said our concreting was starting over the weekend, and they said they'd have it all moved for me by tonight. Bit disappointed, I kind of wanted to do some of the creative things people have suggested with the stuff though... What a j3rk! Worse than the kn&b we had to deal with who had part of his house built on our block (and all the boundary pegs suddenly disappeared). And he had the hide to bully us to pay for HIS retaining. Horrible aggressive man to deal with ... Yelling and just about spitting as he'd talk. Thank goodness we beat him at his own game in the end. Unpleasant $h!thead. Almost made us want to sell our block, but he won't be living there -- he's renting it out ... Phew! Re: Neighbour's builder storing materials on our land 23Oct 17, 2014 11:34 am Ugh he sounds horrible TC! I have never understood people and how they can be like that... Good news! The stuff has been moved Bar three empty pallets that are sitting there still, but we'll just move them over ourselves tonight. Easy. The brickies cement mixer is still hovering on the boundary line, but that won't effect concreting or fencing as the fences won't come that far forward. They are being lazy jerks and you've given them enough chances, time to be creative Re: Neighbour's builder storing materials on our land 26Oct 19, 2014 9:49 am Im in a situation like yours although my build is still in paperwork stage so ill let it go for a bit But yeah driove past my block to show some friends to find it covered in piles of sand and scaffolding everywhere That's a fantastic result! Happy you got it sorted out. cheers Simeon 6 8651 in the stormwater pit or the drain? Those dont look like theyd fit in the drain. Separately, the pits do get stuff in them during the course of the build. For the most… 1 7943 Sounds like rubbish to me. Ask for the contamination report which I doubt they have. If it's part of a normal subdivision it would have had a contamination report done… 9 5664 |
