Our estate in newcastle is now enforcing that fencing has to be of the slatted type approx 10-15m the length of the house.
Of course this is a major privacy issue for most people who have bedrooms and alfrescos on the side.
And where there has been a judgement that privacy is an issue there still needs to be slatted fence at least 1-2 panels long, even if hidden from sight behind front gates.
Curious if anyone else has had this issue? The developer is not budging on this and wondering what options there are? Already built homes in the estate seem to have gotten away without this requirement.
Additionally slatted fencing is in the order of 3x more expensive.. this adds significant expense for almost little gain, most people think it's quite ludicrous!
