Re: Our Simonds Harcrest in Melbourne 365Sep 03, 2015 2:51 pm Good to see you guys now happy. We've had a few major structural issues. Prob have to seek independent structural engineering services because our builder seems to be avoiding the issue. Though we've been onto Council management to get his inspector out to site to do his job ... Make sure building complies with building standards. Re: Our Simonds Harcrest in Melbourne 366Sep 05, 2015 12:57 am Hey People, sorry I have been off redial after the handover/move as I have been in hospital but am fine now hence reasoning why I haven't been here. Tomcat, hope u get the structural defect resolved and this is why I got an independent inspector at four of my stages because when you point out a major defects to the builder/SS, they don't take u serious and try to tell a story but when an inspector points it out with the Australia building code and regulations to back it up then they fix it and becomes more conscious and this is how I got every single issues and defects resolved and fixed. @msangs23, the handover process was same as Harmelb explained. Just point to note during appliances installation just make sure they test all the appliance before the tradies leaves and if you have an alarm system make sure it connected and tested too. We did few decor and finished the landscaping on Monday. The only thing left is finishing off the front brick fencing, painting the garage floor and the Afresco concrete floor at the back and some few more interior decor as all this cost a lot of money. For my blinds I use Intoblinds and they were very good and price was very good as well. My landscaper is God sent as he did an amazing job because I had a massive fall at the front and the back of the house and it turns out very good. Here are pictures so far. Thanks Re: Our Simonds Harcrest in Melbourne 370Sep 27, 2015 1:00 am Hi dran, Your interior and frontyard looks superb...Is that an electric standalone fireplace? Where did you buy that from and how much did it cost? Re: Our Simonds Harcrest in Melbourne 371Apr 22, 2016 3:54 pm Kellee_firsthome Hi guys, brandnew to the forum. We have started meeting with simonds homes and put a deposit on land and the house last weekend. Although the land wont settle till june we choose the azure and love it. We made small plan changes today and started choosing our upgrades from the tick and flick sheet. Oh and we are building in qld. Our first family home xx Hi Kellee, we are looking at building the Azure and I would love to see some pics of yours. Did it all end up the way you expected it to? I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45567 It's all about wireless, self install now.
