Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 09, 2014 12:50 pm Hi, our house is just over 3 years old and the eaves look terrible - a lot of them look as though they weren't cut correctly so there are gaps ... I think a call to the builder is in order - what do others think? For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! And are there popped nails... and on it goes I can assure you, Cheers and good luck. Best to have a thorough look first though, based on experience Leonardo_23 Re: How long should you expect your new eaves to look good? 3Oct 11, 2014 3:39 pm Depends on how bad. I'd hope you'd get more than 3 years though ... Update from me! Couldn't find the trimmer - not sure if there isn't one simply because the eave is so narrow. Went ahead with the spring toggles and it all worked out… 7 5836 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 7822 Hi All, I just wanted to close this topic out with an update. So we ended up agreeing to a number with the insurance company, and after an extensive amount of hand… 8 23388 |
