Browse Forums Building A New House Re: BRICKS! utterly confused 5Oct 02, 2014 11:00 am Hi TashPaul, I'm not a huge fan of brown having lived through the 80's (mission brown anyone? ) so I went for red bricks on my house. I originally chose homestead red in attempts to save myself some cash and asked my builder to give me some addresses of homes which they had built in that colour (which they happily did). Suffice it so say I HATED homestead red because it was, well, orange! Eventually I upgraded to one of the Melbourne range bricks (Lawson) and was lucky enough to get the bricklayer who does the display homes so they look really good.
