Been checking out on everyones post and all i can say is congratulations to all of you thats already done pci, got keys and moved in! how exciting is it for everyone! Anywho, not much updates from my side as everything is on hold for the meantime. Funds is the number one issue We've been trying to be smart with our plans for the house and been putting savings away so we can start doin the landscape in the backyard, as i really want either real grass or artificial grass (no watering is much better) for our front landscape, we have a free landscape package from our land developers but we are still waiting on our letterbox to be built and then we will know for sure. Another thing we are saving for is our paving for the side of the house. We could of done this before we moved in, but needed to pay bills first as i know pavers can wait. I really dont want to loan as im saving that for when we really need it. But as for now, we are all good. We've bought some tv mounting stuff for the theatre and living room but we are so lazy to put it on and are still deciding what colour to paint the walls that goes to every wall in the house! And theres so many of them.... I gave up after we sealed our walls.. Hahaha We've gotten a few issues in the house but nothin major and can still sleep The door in our ensuite overlaps when you close it they were supposed to rectify this asap but no ones came to the house yet.. So they will get a new years email from us! Bring on 2016 And the other issue is the remote in the garage thats been corroded and not working anymore from when the bricks got cleaned.. That is all the issue that we got and hopefully that gets fix in the new years.. To everyone, hope you all have a wonderful christmas holiday and a great new year ahead of yous Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 Re: HAND OVER COMPLETED 24/11/2015 Alkimos WA, Trinity(ateli 582Dec 20, 2015 12:27 pm Besides the hiccups everything seems to be going really well and look at that beautiful tree! It looks like you're getting a proper pro letterbox built! It is a shame about the cabinet door I think someone said they only need to work on the hinges if they're not 100% - hopefully this is true for yours too. They're such a lovely colour though! Have a wonderful Christmas time x Re: HAND OVER COMPLETED 24/11/2015 Alkimos WA, Trinity(ateli 585Jan 09, 2016 9:10 pm Lovely Xmas decorations !!!! yay for your 1st Xmas and New year!!!! Hope everyones having a great start to the new year so far.. Its been really slow and quiet for us at our house. Not much has happened lately and we have jsut been waiting for our mailbox to finish being built. Its taken them a whole month to do it. Unbelievable. So after the mailbox we will ring landscape to book in our front garden. I can not wait for this day to be honest. We have also started to get rid some of the excess sand from our backyard so we can ready this for the upcoming grass (dont ask me when tho..lol) Anyway meet our new plant! Our front is so hideous at the moment and to make matters worse, the letter box is on a darn stand still?!? I have emailed the letter box peope and said they will send their plasterer to come finish it off. Hoping it will be all done before the end of this week.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also i have done a mock around of my idea of what our landscape for the front will look like.. We need 60% turf and 40% plants/mulch.. And a street Tree.. Sorry i forgot to lable which is tree and which is plant.. But you get the idea lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Fingers cross landscape meeting goes well.. They are super stingy with those packages. And I'd suggest doing your own soil prep, they don't bother much with that either. Re: HAND OVER COMPLETED 24/11/2015 Alkimos WA, Trinity(ateli 596Jan 20, 2016 3:34 pm LD Total for the landscape package? Your time at Alkimos Beach should have given you an idea of what to expect... and yep as Huggy_B said its not great I was going to forfeit mine and just do it myself, save having to rip their landscaping up and dispose of it as I want to do fake grass etc. Butttt fake grass isn't allowed in Alkimos Beach. So first I need to have the caveat on the block lifted and in order to do that I've gotta meet all of the estate requirements - one of which is the maximum 50% turf rule. So I'm just going to have to (and will) take the basic package, get the caveat lifted, then rip it all out and lay fake grass First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach.
