Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 27, 2014 6:19 pm Hi ya'll Hubby & I are in the process of building with Coral (for the 2nd time) on 2 acres at North Casino, Northern NSW. We are building the Noosa 29 which we think will suit our needs (we have 2 young children). Have just signed of on the tender letter & now waiting for the contract & drawings which we should receive this coming week! I am hoping it will all be approved by council & have a build date before Christmas. We aren't changing any of the structural layout of the house just upgrading to 'inspirations' inclusions & a few other things. Brick colour is going to be Boral blue rio. If anyone has used this brick feel free to post a pic! Looking forward to sharing our journey & hearing from others Re: Noosa 29 - Coral Homes - Northern NSW 2Sep 27, 2014 7:59 pm Hey Katie, welcome to the forum, looking forward to hearing about and seeing the pics of your build as well as your experience with Coral, hope it all goes well. Now just have to wait for a bank valuation & the ACC to be completed, which will prob be finalised next week.. I also have to chase up the Cert of title for the block of land as it still hasn't been transferred into our name (only purchased it 1 1/2 months ago)! I'm looking forward to following your build. Hi Mellywil, Not long for your contract,I hope it comes back right for you. Let us know how it all goes. We're getting there,I can't wait for the build to start, and finish with all this paperwork. I still haven't worked out how to post photos,I have heaps I want to share. Does anyone know how much Coral charge for Ducted vacuum, alarm and surround sound in the media room? Thanks Julie Re: Noosa 29 - Coral Homes - Northern NSW 11Oct 14, 2014 8:10 pm Katie_11 OK now prices for anyone interested.. We put the recess in our ensuite shower too (same cost as yours) but did you know it doesn't matter how big you have it the cost is the same, we ended up making our recess 400mm high x 1000mm long and it still cost $284. Still only at the waterproofing stage but the larger recess looks great. I don't know why Coral don't include doors on the media/home theatre rooms as standard. Kinda defeats the purpose to have it open to the rest of the house IMO. How exciting that it's all moving ahead for you! Julie, so glad you're getting closer!!! I can't wait to see the progress if you can figure out how to post pics - I have no idea so can't offer you help - sorry. I wish we could go through a certifier, but from what I understand we're going to need to go through council because we want a setback relaxation (of a whopping 33cms ) since we are in an older neighbourhood with stricter setback requirements. I'll prob get charged a fee for changing it now cos it will be an adjustment to the drawings.. hmmm Re: Noosa 29 - Coral Homes - Northern NSW 16Oct 16, 2014 8:27 am Katie_11 Hey guys there is a thread on here somewhere about posting photos. You end up having to sign up with imageshack & adding them through that.. I just opened up an account with photobucket, took maybe 2 mins, then upload all my pics to there. Then I select the ones I want to put on here and copy and paste them straight into here. Have 2 browsers open with this site in one and photobucket in the other, there is a tab in photobucket that you click on to copy a pic and then you can paste it to this window. I also put a link in here so that people can click and go to my photobucket page and view all my photos. Re: Noosa 29 - Coral Homes - Northern NSW 20Oct 19, 2014 9:46 am Funny how your brick costs were almost the same as what they wanted to charge me for my Noosa23 (significantly smaller)... Went with standard range anyhow, so can't complain i guess Looking forward to some pictures once you start! My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Hi, I am wondering if anyone has built with Montgomery in the last few years on the Northern Beaches? I don't see the see them around, as I would love to ask how happy… 0 3188 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4335 |
