Stage 1 got pushed out over 6 months so I know how you feel - ahhhhhh. hopefully we can pass on information to each other about costs and any help or information we come across to help out. Bennycat is another hvv owner and their in stage 2 as well. have you been advised of your costs for site works yet? I was 1st told 40k but they have revised that now to 25k not including the storm water connections that was 2100.00, so at least you have a figure to go on for storm water. good luck with the titles im sure they wont be much longer. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 3Sep 28, 2014 7:06 pm Hi copper no we havnt been told much yet waiting on titles and our contract to come back from management as they are looking into giving us a "discount" to keep us as a client as we are on a budget. There are a few houses going up in stage one now seems to all be happening finally. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 4Oct 07, 2014 11:42 am Hi emmz41, We're in the same boat as you building in stage 2 with HGWA At least things are finally starting to move along, well almost. Should have titles by the end of this month I reckon... fingers crossed! I love your massive alfresco, what design is your house originally? We're building a variation of the mediterranean. Have you been given your pre-start folder etc yet? I've at least had that to keep me occupied since august. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 5Oct 07, 2014 3:26 pm Hi Bennycat, What street are you in? I have been reading your thread and getting very excited for you. Yeah hopefully all goes well we have a holiday planned the start of November so we can bet titles will come through then just to annoy us haha. Or design was the naples a new design but we changed it a fair bit moving the laundry and making things bigger and changing it all around to suit us more. We have a long block so we didnt want a small side alfresco as we thought it would make our backyard look small and wasted. No we are waiting on our prestart folder but our salesman is on annual leave so hopefully soon. My partner is really excited about it but im dreading make such big decisions. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 6Oct 09, 2014 4:02 pm We're building in Sedge (a very ugly name I think). how long ago did you sign up for the land? We signed up in about July 2013. We should have all our colour selection made in the enxt two weeks or so, so we're hoping we can book our prestart as soon as titles are through so we can get everything (finally) moving! there have been a few upsides to having such a long wait though, we've saved a bigger deposit for one, but I remember when we first went and looked in the show room at HGWA back in august last year, I wasn't keen on the included sinks/taps/showerhead etc and was thinking i'd have to pay to upgrade, but in the year since then they've changed their supplier and now I love the included taps/sinks etc. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 7Oct 09, 2014 7:59 pm Looks like we will have 2 HGWA houses in sedge then we are lot 55. Yes I had to look up what sedge even meant. I cant remember when we signed up it was too long ago it was a "register your interest" and then we had to do an expression of interest on 3 blocks we liked. Did you do that? You are a bit ahead of us will be interesting to see how they go up differently! Yes the wait did have some positives we nearly doubled our deposit and helped us have a good hard think about the design we really want as we are both very indecisive! I agree I love the range of fittings and fixtures now im glad we wont need to upgrade much at prestart. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 8Oct 12, 2014 10:55 pm Yeah we had to do the register your interest thing, we originally went for the ones in the cul-de-sac but got outbid on those. We had already picked what design we wanted so had to choose one of the blocks that was long enough to fit it. I don't think we'll be needing to upgrade much at prestart either which is good because by all accounts the electrical stuff you inevitably need to add on mounts up quickly. There doesnt seem to be many of us around but I guess it is a new design have you made many changes to your plan? Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 12Apr 12, 2015 11:19 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is what we have so far... but i think we are going to change the laundry/scullery back to the original design.... wanted the pantry closer to the kitchen but dont like having to go through the kitchen/scullery to get to the laundry. Totally jealous and LOVE what you have done to the kitchen and moving the scullery. Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 13Apr 12, 2015 11:35 pm We were going to use the games room like that but use it as a shed/man cave but my partner decided he would rather a big alfresco. Now I know we have someone following and interested in our build I will keep my post updated we have a slab waiting on bricks have you beem to your tile meeting yet Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 16Apr 13, 2015 10:01 pm Congrats on the slab! Love watching other people get to that milestone! Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 17Apr 13, 2015 10:59 pm Thanks almost a 2 year wait but now we are paying for concrete not just dirt Re: First home build with HGWA in Helena Valley Views 18Apr 13, 2015 11:02 pm I feel you! I signed up in June last year but the titles didnt come until Jan/Feb (cant remember haha) Mind you, my 9/10 month wait for the slab is nothing compared to 2 years! Yay for stuff happening!
